We’ve had dogs since I was a baby. 2 American eskimos. As a kid I would read to them and they followed me everywhere. Had multiple golden retrievers growing up. German Shepard/husky mix, Shih-poo, Australian Shepard, and Great Pyrenees. Fostered dogs for 5 years before going to college. Now I currently have a rescue border collie mix. We’ve been through a lot together. She has some severe anxiety coming from an animal shelter. It took awhile, but together we have worked hard in finding a way to help her cope with this. She has seizures that she is on medication for. And she also tore both her ACLs for which we have undergone TPLO surgery twice! It’s been a year and she is able to run around like nothing has ever happened. Although I am an ICU nurse, my heart has always been with animals. Any extra time I have I would love to be with animals.
