Pet care experience
I've had dogs for pets all my life and lost my sweet Dewey last year. I have a special fondness and expertise with senior dogs, making them extra comfortable and relaxed. Because I am home quite a bit of the day, it's wonderful to have another sentient being in the space. I enjoy getting to know a dog's personality and finding ways to keep them comfortable. It can be stressful to be away from their people and familiar homes, so please bring a favorite toy or blanket/bed. I notice that makes visiting pups feel safe and relaxed. There may be a bit of spoiling going on while they are with me and they will love their time here. I love all dogs and do best with smaller breeds.

I realize that they will miss their usual surroundings and "parents" and I go above and beyond making them comfortable by talking to them, playing with them when they want attention. My place is relatively small, so small dogs are perfect. I LOVE dogs.
A typical day
Our neighborhood is a great walking environment, meeting neighbors and their pooches when appropriate. There's assorted small parks and fenced running areas. I get outside as much as the weather allows and love having a dog to walk with.

Availability
We get out for lots of walks, visiting neighbors, smelling the smells. What I love about having a dog visitor is the connection we form, really taking care of each other in a way. Please be sure to send along your dogs harness so we can safely get out and take walks.
