Pet care experience
My first ever pet was a pure bread golden retriever so he always required a bunch of exercise, attention, and personal care. I got him at five years old and is still here today! I trained him myself, fed him, took him for walks, and I still make sure he is the happiest dog he can be. The Labrador that I have requires special attention due to attachment issues and severe anxiety from past trauma but that never stops me from giving him the special care and love he needs and deserves. I take him wherever I go. I enjoy looking after dogs because they light up my world and keep my mind distracted from the difficulties of everyday life. I have many people who have had me watch their dog because of how much I enjoy doing it. I have also done a bunch of community service work in multiple veterinary clinics and even helped my own dog with his surgery one time! I’m always complimented on how well I am with animals.

Gavin has had a love for animals his entire life. His caring & loving personality just overflows! He has had gerbils, fish, geckos, a hamster & currently has 2 dogs of his own. His golden retriever, Bama, will be 14 in March 2023 & is such a wonderful, friendly & happy dog. He also has a rescue dog, Murphy, that is his ESA but to see this dog’s love for Gavin, you’d think Gavin is his emotional support human! Gavin has also tried to rescue baby rabbits that have been injured & once, he even stopped at a fast food drive-thru because a bird was stuck in the middle of the drive. The bird apparently couldn’t fly so Gavin had to carry it off to safety. This is a great opportunity for Gavin to spread his love of animals by caring for others’ beloved pets!
Gavin is such a caring person and I’ve seen that through the many ways he cares for his own dog and how loving and accepting he was of my dog. Even though my dog is a puppy and still wild, he still ran with her and played with her as if she was his own. He showed an enormous amount of love towards my dog and I would feel safe leaving my dog with him any time.
I have known Gavin for years and he’s always been amazing with animals. I actually had Gavin watch my German Shepard for a week over the summer as I went out of town. He took great care of her, made sure she was taken out regularly, brushed her daily while I was away, and just gave her the best possible care. I would recommend Gavin to any of my friends if they needed someone to pet sit at any point.
Gavin watched my 2 dogs back in 2018 when my family and I went to Florida for vacation. We were gone for 2 weeks. I left a detailed plan and schedule for my dogs when it came to food and meds they have to take because they were getting old. Gavin followed that to a T and abided by any rules or tasks that I gave him for my children. I don't trust anyone with my dogs because they are high maintenance but Gavin came highly recommended to me by a friend. I would definitely recommend Gavin as a responsible and phenomenal pet giver. 10/10 would let him watch my dogs again.

My home in Whitehouse TN: I let any dog, including my own, roam around the house with certain doors closed. I have 5-7 acres of land with a fenced in yard from the front to the back and a small caged area as well in the backyard. Home in Clarksville TN: While at this location, I can only take dogs for walks and/or dog sit at a clients house. I can provide other services such as cleaning up paws, baths, nail filing and cleaning, certain kinds of hair trimmings, and even going to the dog parks. Clients home: Not only your dog but your home will be treated with respect and kindness. Any rules given to me will be followed. Your dog will have a blast with me!

I have no preference on types of dogs but I would love to know if your dog is good with other dogs and people. I would love to know if it has any special needs and if your fur baby needs any special attention. I think it’s extremely important to know if they have had their vaccinations and whether they have any kind of ticks or fleas. What does your dog like to do for fun?
A typical day
I love to go to dog parks and watch the dogs play together and chase balls. Tug of War is my favorite game to play with dogs. I have many places I take my dog such as the park, greenways, cliffs, caves, and creeks. He loves every moment.

Availability
I have an emotional support Labrador Retriever rescue (Murphy) in the apartment with me at all hours of the day. On top of schooling and other responsibilities, I still put my dog as one of my number one priorities no matter how demanding it can be. He also has certain medication he has to take daily and I remain on top of giving him the right dosages at the right times.
