Pet care experience
I love all kinds of dogs. My pure breeds were a Toy Poodle and Norwegian Elkhound. My last three dogs were rescue dogs. . All died of old age except my current dog, Raisin, a 6 year old, 30# brindle rescue dog. She loves to play with all kinds of dogs in our 3/4 acre fenced in yard. I keep brush piles in the wooded area to protect the rabbits she loves to chase. She loves company so Rover looks like a win-win for her and me. My wife and I are retired with grandchildren that like dogs too. we want to keep dogs similar in size to Raisin because she recently tore he tendon on her right rear leg and cant put weight on it.

Gary was kind enough to take Tilly last minute, which was such a relief. He just loves dogs and understands their tendencies. He sent me videos daily of my pup playing, which was reassuring that she was in the best hands during our trip.
Gary and Nancy were so sweet. They took care of our boy for a few days and we are so grateful!
Gary and his wife are just awesome good people. Casey really enjoyed her stay with them and playing with Raisin. Gary kept us updated during her stay with multiple videos and pictures daily. They are real pros at this, by scheduling meet and greet (for humans and pets), describing the process and treating our Casey Girl like she was there own. Rover is the way to go. Casey was happy when she came home from her stay unlike the usual grumpy dog after a stay at a kennel. Will definitely be requesting additional stays with Gary. Thanks Gary!!!!

Dogs must be house trained, since they will spend time with us indoors. My wife and I are home full time though in case there is an urgent need to go outside.
A typical day
We have a large fenced back yard that I hit tennis balls in and my dog fetches. When we have other dogs here that fetch she runs along side them so they will get plenty of exercise. We also live in a quiet neighborhood that is great for 30 minute walks with natural grassy and wooded areas to walk in. Squirrel chasing is also on the agenda since I feed birds the sunflower seeds that squirrels love.
