Pet care experience
Garrick (Aussie) and Madison (Canadian), we're a long-term couple who have both had many pets (both cats and dogs) our whole lives and are very experienced house sitters (+10 sits, paid and volunteered). As we travel regularly we can't have a pet of our own at the moment, so sitting for you means we can get our much needed animal time while making sure they are comfortable, loved and happy in their home while you're away. We've house sat all over Australia using aussiehousesitters and in BC, Canada using Rover, with every one of our reviews being 5star! We can not recommend this couple enough. They treated our fur babies with so much love and care ?. Not only did they look after our pets like their own they also looked after our home and you wouldn’t have known they were even here. Loved the pictures we received from them and messages. We are so glad we found Garrick and Madison through Rover! From our first communication to the last day of their stay with our pups, they were exceptional. The communication we received was top-notch, they responded quickly whenever we reached out to them and sent us messages and photos regularly during the week we were away. Our dogs were happy to see us when we got home, but they were also very satisfied and it was clear to us that they had been well taken care of and had had plenty of exercise and socialization. Our house was spotless when we got home, almost cleaner than we left it. Garrick and Madison were reliable, they were able to set up a meet and greet before we booked with them and that helped us to make sure they were a good match for our two larger dogs (they were). Each time we had set up for them to arrive they were prompt, or even early so that we could get on our trip at a good time. We will be recommending Garrick and Madison to our friends in the future.
Garrick & Madi did an incredible job making sure our pandemic pup was well taken care of while we were away. Daily updates, photos and check-ins made us feel super comfortable with them in our home. Would 100% recommend these two and hope they stick around Canada so we can welcome them back. Otis misses them already.
Garrick and Madi watched our 2 ‘ladies’ while we went on an extended road trip. First time ever, leaving without the ladies in tow! Our youngest, Lylah, is a shy mama’s girl who hides from everyone! Garrick and Madi used gentleness and thoughtfulness to win her over! Our older gal, Nova was content and relaxed when we returned ~ definitely an indicator that she enjoyed herself! We came home to fresh linens on the bed and laundered towels hanging in the bathroom, house neat and tidy! Garrick and Madi, your kind notes and pics while we travelled helped us to thoroughly relax and enjoy ourselves, we cannot thank you enough! We will definitely be in touch as soon as the next trip is planned! Thanks guys!

We don't have any pets travelling with us, so there won't be any new personalities for your animals to adjust to, just two friendly people. We will care for your animals and home, the same way you do, just tell us your general routine and we'll keep it up until you return home.

Please let us know if your pets have any social issues we should be aware of before hand, such as if your dog is afraid of "man with hat/beard" as Garrick typically has both, or their relationships with other breads/species. This helps us make sure your pets are as comfortable as possible while you're away from them.
A typical day
We have an SUV so we are happy to take your animals on walks at their favourite parks, beaches and other pet friendly walking spots. Otherwise if they are more home bodies, taking a time from my online work to play with your pets is always a welcomed break.

Availability
Garrick works online and Madison won't be working while we travel, so we are able to be with your beloved pets when ever they're keen for some attention. This means your animals won't need to adjust to a new feeding/exercise schedule. We are also available for medium to long term house sits (our longest sit to date was 3 months).
