Pet care experience
I've had a dog since I was 13 years old, a cat since I was 14 years old, and have taken care of other people's pets since I was 15 years old! I have sat pets at their homes for up to 3 weeks at a time and have sat pets that require additional medical help (i.e., giving medicine, etc.). I also have a car, which is perfect for seeing clients around the D.C.-Metro area and for pet-transportation needs.

Garrett took care of my cats and home for two weeks while I was out of the country. I felt so comfortable knowing that my cats were in good hands. One of them got so comfortable with him that she took to sleeping next to him! My other one tends to be anxious near new people, and Garrett gave him the space he needed. He sent me pictures of them to keep me updated on how they were doing and communication while I was away was great, even with a six hour time difference. I will not hesitate to hire Garrett again!
Garrett has been fantastic with my dog and my home. My dog gets attention and care. My house looks better when I return than when I left. Garrett communicates well regarding scheduling, etc. I completely trust Garrett in my home and I know he takes good care of my dog. I highly recommend him.

For dogs, I am consistent in taking them outside and for walks. For cats, I always dedicate time during the day to play with them. For all pets, I ensure their meals are given at the same time, every day. While staying at clients' homes, I ensure that I am tidy and always clean up after myself.

A typical day
I love taking dogs on walks that are appropriate for their age and breed. Whether they need a longer walk or just a 5-minute potty break, I'm all for it! I love walking around parks in the city - think Lincoln Park in Northeast or The Mall. Of course, if the owner or pet have a favorite spot, I'm eager to try that out too! Playing with their favorite toys is also a must for me; this especially goes for cats, who I always set aside some playtime since they can't go outside.

My full-time job is remote, allowing me to be flexible with your needs. I am available all seven days of the week, all I need is a little heads up!
