Dogs love me, and I love dogs!
Pet care experience
I have been dog and cat sitting for nearly a decade. I've sat (and walked!) dogs of all different personalities, including some very skittish dogs. Nervous dogs take some work, but so far I have a 100% success rate in getting them to warm up to me. It sometimes takes a few repeat stays, but I apparently have a talent for soothing nervous dogs. That's something I'm proud of. I look forward to having some soothing (and fun!) stays with your dog! Cats, of course, are another matter, and I'm more than happy to allow your cat to love me or leave me alone as they see fit! They like to make up their own minds and change it as often as they please. Whats most important is to accept each cat for who he or she is at that particular moment, and that's exactly what I do.

Garrett was fantastic with our two dogs! He is easy-going and very quickly connected with our rambunctious pups. Despite the weather (when Seattle got all that ice), Garrett was creative and found fun ways to give the dogs exercise indoors until the sidewalks were clear. We also got updates and photos daily. The house was in great shape when we came home too. Highly recommend him!

Garrett is amazing! Definitely a step above what we were expecting through Rover!!! We started our trip unsure and nervous to leave our dog. Through Garrett’s thoughtful updates, pictures, and obvious care, we ended our trip nervous our dog might wish we’d stay gone longer so he could keep hanging out with Garrett! Couldn’t recommend more highly.

I like dogs of all breeds. Before a stay, I like to know a dog's routine. What are they used to doing? When do they usually get fed? When are they used to playing? When are they used to going to bed? Most importantly, what do they like doing and what cheers them up? The first couple of days of a long dog sit are usually the hardest for your dog. That's when they miss you the most. Doing the things your dog likes to do is a good way to stave off the loneliness and confusion of those first few days.
A typical day
I love to take able bodied dogs on occasional BIG walks when the weather is nice. A special occasion walk might take us to one of the parks in town or to a dog park, if your dog likes socializing. I love playing fetch just as much as your dog (really!). With compulsive fetchers, I like finding some place comfy, putting on some music , and throwing the ball for hours.
