Pet care experience
I'm a US Air Force member and dog lover who travels too much for me to have my own dog, so I've got tons of affection and attention ready to give to yours! I grew up raising great Danes with my parents, so I'm ready for your pup no matter the size! I also have spent time volunteering at an animal shelter in Louisiana, so I have experience with all kinds of temperaments. Let me know if you have any concerns and I'll accommodate. I am located in a safe neighborhood with great parks to take advantage of on a walk or run. I am happy to send you photo updates on how your little one is enjoying their time with me. I do work M-F, 6:30-3:30, but my girlfriend, who volunteers at the SPCA, works from home and is available throughout the day to help out. Being in the military, there are times where I can be tasked for missions with only several days of notice, so while it is rare that I have to cancel due to a last minute mission, it is a possibility. I'm available for both short and long term caretaking in most cases, and I'm looking forward to meeting you and your pup!

Garrett was very friendly and easy to work with. From our meet and greet to our last minute need for an at home drop off, he was extremely helpful and accommodating. Our dogs came home clean and in good spirits. I think they really enjoyed his large fenced in yard. We will definitely consider Garrett for future needs!!
I have a large shepherd who can be a handful and Garrett was an absolute dream; more than anything I could have asked for. I went on a 2 week trip that I ended up extending and he was beyond accommodating/professional. He kept me updated with photos and was very helpful with all of my requests. His responses were quick and wholesome and he was very attentive. I chose Garrett to watch my shepherd over my own family and I wholeheartedly believe that he treated my boy as his own which is all I could have asked for; he definitely went above and beyond. If I could give him 100 stars I would and it is very clear that his true love for animals speaks volumes about his character. I know that Hawke is already greatly missing him and Marisa. I could not be more thankful for all of Garret’s help and finding him when I did as I know he poured his heart and soul into my boy. I’ve needed an extra hand with my shepherd for a while now and I’m highly looking forward to working with him more; we will be booking again very soon!
Excellent communication and Garrett really cared about our dog and made sure he was happy and well taken care of. He kept us informed and up to date on how Scout was adjusting and behaving and handled the whole process—from initial meeting to pick up— wonderfully. Garrett made sure our dog got plenty of exercise and his care was beyond our expectations. I would recommend him without reservation.
We couldn't be happier with the care our dogs received while staying with Garrett. He was responsive to our requests, flexible and his accommodations were exactly what we were looking for. He shared updates, photos and videos throughout our vacation and I wouldn't think twice about having him care for our dogs again. I would highly recommend.

I don't have breed preferences but I do like to know what your house rules are such as when to feed, how much to feed (I have a food scale if you like to measure their meals), what behaviors you don't tolerate such as sleeping in bed. The last thing I'd want to do is send them home with bad habits!
A typical day
I like to go for walks and runs with the dogs that visit, or play fetch in the yard until we're both tired out. Bring whatever toys they like, and I'll make sure they get good use! They have free run of the house and are welcome on the couch and other furnishings as long as they are allowed at home. In either case, I have extra blankets for their comfort.
