I live steps from Fort Tryon park so if you are in that area that's a plus. I love dogs, animals, spending time outdoors, going on long walks and I am dependable and trustworthy. I'm new to this service not sure why I have a score on my profile but I am learning how Rover works. This summer I became a volunteer with an animal rescue group, worked an event then became a first-time foster mom to Vera and Val. This was the first time fostering a dog, I trained the puppies for two weeks got them ready for their forever home and the two weeks they were with me were great. An amazing experience and teaching moment. Fort Tryon Park and The Cloisters are my backyard. There is a large dog run in the park, I go for walks at the park and have not seen the play area crowded. My studio apartment is an elevator building, there are 3 pet-friendly floors in the building and I live on one of those floors. Lucy is the one dog on the floor, she's sweet and friendly. I have a long hallway into my studio space, the puppies I fostered ran around and played and had plenty of space. I raised a Guiding Eyes puppy, her name was Treasure and she graduated to a seeing-eye dog and was the best companion for her human until Treasure passed away. My best boy was Malik, a large chocolate Labrador who I had for 13-14 years and he had a wonderful life. Animals like me. I know how to approach a dog that is not ready to introduce and will wait until the dog is ready to say hello. I was in a corporate position for years so I've been unable to adopt a dog but I have all the love to give.
