Availability
I work part time at a dog grooming center 3 days a week half days, so I’m home most of the week! I’m a homebody who loves to snuggle dogs while enjoying a movie, or play fetch in the fenced in back yard.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in back yard and a secure deck (that has no stairs/gate) that the dogs love to sun themselves on. I have gates in my home to ensure the dogs cannot get to the front door nor basement doors, as an extra security to avoid any dog escaping.

Information Gail D. would like to know about your pet
I’m able to administer oral meds as well as shots (my old husky had diabetes so I’m used to giving sub cutaneous shots to dogs). I have also administered eye drops to dogs in the past. I crate my dogs when not home, so all dogs will be safe. If your dog does not like crates we can keep just your dog out in our den/kitchen when we are not home so they are comfortable.
A typical day
I will stimulate your dog in ways that works well for the dog. If it’s an elderly dog who can’t handle walks, I have a fenced in area in our back yard just for dogs that your pup can use to potty. I have two dogs of my own who are happy to play (and also happy to leave an elderly dog alone as they did with our 17yo dog who passed a year ago) They are good at reading other dog’s attitudes. I’ll also brush your pup while you are gone (if needed for its type of coat) so you won’t pick up a matted pooch! :) Working at a grooming center I often see dogs show up for grooming badly matted after their parents were on vacation- I won’t let that happen.

Pet care experience
I’ve been a dog owner my entire life, growing up in a home with multiple dogs, and then raising 5 different dogs as an adult. I have fostered over 25 puppies/dogs as well. I have experience with puppies 6 weeks old through elderly. I’ve got two dogs in my home now that are each 20lbs and get along really well with others. They are happy to play with your dog and are also great at taking cues from older pups when the senior dogs aren’t interested in playing with them. :) Your pup will be treated like my own (actually, even better to help your dog feel comfortable- but don’t let my dogs know that!) I would love to have your dog(s) in my home while you enjoy your vacation, knowing your pup is well cared for and loved.
Reviews

Gail was very communicative, and sent me lots of pictures. Dublin seemed to have a great time with her family and dogs!

Gail was wonderful with my dogs. They took to her easily (with my girl not so easy). She sent me daily photos which were very appreciated. Would highly recommend
I felt comfortable leaving my pups with Gail ! Pups came back happy and tired. Gail was flexible with pick up when we hit some extra traffic.

My dog had a wonderful time during his stay. Gail was quick to respond, personable, and provided daily updates and photos! I would definitely recommend having her watch your pup.
