Hello, My name is Gaby. I just moved back to London and am looking to do some part time pet sitting. I love all animals and have had various dogs and cats all my life. My cat, Vivis, sadly passed away in 2021. But she was with me for 18 years! and lived a wonderful life :) I also had two dogs, a cocker spaniel and a french poodle. I started doing pet sitting in Glasgow (2013). It all began with a lovely rescued dog called Zac, and I carried on with cats. Beryl, Bert and Bowie are some of the lucky cats I have cuddled with :) I have looked after pets for up to 2 weeks - including housesitting where I looked after a house refurbishment, received parcels, looked after the garden, etc. For example, I'm currently doing a long overnight pet sitting for two cats in zone 4, London (all June). I'm very responsible, super tidy and clean, and can provide references if you need them. I have experience looking after elderly cats and dogs or those with mobility issues, and also mischievous kittens (I've had to deal with frogs in the bathroom! a gift from one of the cats I looked after in east London).

Gaby took very special care of my Jack Russell Zac on a regular basis from 2013 until late last year when he died at nearly 19 years old. He was a rescue dog from the Dogs Trust and had not been well looked after before his rescue. He could be very anxious but subsequently was much less anxious but by then fairly elderly. Gaby really looked after him well and understood his funny little ways and age related issues. She is punctual and reliable and I always felt relaxed knowing how well Zac was being cared for. She has her own pets and is a regular cat sitter and clearly loves animals. I would whole heartedly recommend Gaby to look after your dog.
Gaby was great when looking after my cat Brownie. She sent us videos and pictures every day. Brownie is used to sleeping with us and she literally requests the cat flap to be open very early morning (around 7 am) so she can go out and do her business in the garden. Gaby adapted very well to my cat's routine and she was very understanding when we arrived at the house a bit later than we planned. Totally recommend her to look after your furry family members!
Gabriela, or Gaby for friends, has helped me to look after my Molly (shih tzu) while I'm on holiday or I visit my family outside the UK. She's very caring, my Molly loves her and feels comfortable with her. Gaby also receives my parcels and when I'm back home my apartment is much more clean than when I left! I heartedly recommend her.

I constantly check the whereabouts of the dog or cat I'm looking after, I like to know where they are and what are they doing. I also take photos of them and send them to the owners. I always ask for any special requirements pets may have such as walking them with the leash only, eating habits or closing the cat flap at night. Some people write instructions for me, but if they don't do it, I always make notes of whatever owners mention so I don't forget.

Let me know if your dog is anxious or requires me to give him/her space. If the dog is still learning to be on the leash I would like to know beforehand.
A typical day
I love to walk in parks but it really depends on whether your dog likes to be around other dogs and people. I prefer long walks but shorter ones are okay too. I like to play with dogs & cats, chasing them and throwing their ball, sticks or whatever toy they have. Cuddles in the mornings and nighttime are essential but happy to add more if your pet needs more love!

Availability
I have another job, so I'm not as flexible as before, but I'm happy to help during weekends or do overnight stays for cats. I say cats because my other job requires me to work in situ monday to friday, rather than WFH. So with dogs, I can only walk them early mornings and after work. However, if you have a garden or your dog is trained to do its needs inside, I can definitely help. Just want to be honest and say that weekdays I'm not 24hrs available.
