My name is Gabriella and I am so excited to offer my services! I have over five years of experience working at a Veterinary Specialty Hospital and I am currently an ASPCA volunteer. I also have experience working as an assistant to a Veterinary Behaviorist and can help conquer any behavior issues your pet might have. Simple techniques like positive reinforcement and desensitization can go a long way towards helping resolve any behavior problems. I'm happy to offer tips and advice during and after your pets stay with me! I enjoy working with animals and plan to make a career of it as a Veterinarian. As the proud owner of a separation anxiety/allergy suffering/extremely high maintenance dog, I know how hard it is to spend time away from home and leave the pooch's behind. It's even harder knowing they are locked up in cages while boarding the entire time your gone. I've gone through the guilty feelings myself. It's not easy to find someone who spends the time to get to know your dogs personality and special needs or someone who doesn't allow breed stigmas to cloud their judgment. My husband and I are willing to open up our home to dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. Our dog Jixxer loves other dogs and enjoys the company of several family dogs frequently. He loves to run around in our backyard and lay in the sun all day long. We also take him on daily runs during the week and he frequents Silver Lake Park on the weekends. Our lives revolve around him and we are happy to welcome your dog(s) into our home and provide a fun, safe and happy environment that is specifically catered to his or her needs. Why I love dog sitting I grew up around dogs of different sizes and learned early on how much fun they can be. However, as an adult I've also learned how much of a responsibility they can be as well. I took in a 7 month old pit bull almost 2 years ago who came to me with a variety of problems. He was fearful of strangers, he had severe separation anxiety, and he wasn't housebroken. He was also suffering from a severe bacterial infection caused by his skin allergies and had to be put on a long course of antibiotics. I have worked long and hard to get him to the point where he is comfortable being home alone, comfortable with strangers, and is an overall healthier and happier guy. Dogs are not just our pets or companions; their family and I want you to know that they will be treated as such while in my home. About my yard Our backyard is fenced in and contains mostly cement flooring with some grassy areas. My experience administering medication Yes.
