I grew up with a family dog, got my own puppy when I was three, and helped take care of a diabetic senior dog in high school. In college I was the VP of a campus volunteer group that worked with the local human society to raise money, help find foster families, and take weekly trips with other students to volunteer. I just finished grad school in Savannah and moved back to Houston to find a job. I'm pretty active and have a flexible schedule, so I am available during the day. I love going on hikes and running with my dog early in the morning, before it gets too hot outside. My dog is very dog friendly and loves having playmates who can keep up with her. To work with the humane society, I had to qualify in doggy CPR and am familiar with administering dog medications, including insulin shots.
