Vet Nurse-Premium care-Home health

Pet care experience

Hello, welcome to my profile. My specialty is connecting with pet parents that are looking for premium care and want peace of mind. I will go the extra mile for you and your fur babies. My goal for you is to feel like you never left their side and they are receiving the best care available. Please allow 6 to 8 hours for me to follow up on new requests. I fully dedicate my time to the pets under my care during the day. They take first priority to everything else just as if your furry child is with me they will be my first priority. To facilitate finding the information you need, I’ll separate my information in the following sections: -BIO, HOURS AND AVAILABILITY. -DOG WALKING -DOGGY DAY CARE -DROP IN REQUESTS for any type of pets (cats, dogs, reptiles, birds, horses, cattle and small ruminants) -HOUSE SITTING requests for any type of pets (cats, dogs, reptiles, birds, horses, cattle and small ruminants) -BOARDING (for dogs, cats, reptiles in their enclosure, birds with their cages and kennel trained small ruminants) -EXTRA SERVICES (pick up and drop off, medical advice, PT at home; fluids, injections and medication administration at home, medical device care, tube feeding, hospice visits, vet visit/appointment companion) Please be sure to read my Bio and the section for the service you need in its entirety so we can be certain that we are a great match for each other. -BIO- Hello, My name is Gabriela. Animals are my life. I love them all! I am a Biologist and Veterinary Technician. I’ve worked in Veterinary General Practice, ICU, Internal Medicine and Oncology Departments and I have a specialty in Cardiology and Rehab (PT). I’m currently offering pet services through Rover as my business and dedicated full time job. I have a Low Stress Animal Handling Certificate and I’m also working on obtaining an applied animal behavior certificate. I’m able to provide care for post surgical animals and tend to furry kids with special medical needs such as diabetes, cancer and heart issues, etc. I love all animals including reptiles. Geriatric pets are my favorite. I have ample experience in caring for non-ambulatory and special needs (deaf/blind) pets as well. I can administer oral and injectable medications and care for animals with medical devices. A little bit about me: I grew up on a farm and I have lots of experience with cattle, horses and small ruminants. I have a small family with 3 doggies and one lizard of my own. My dogs are socialized and have great manners, they all have canine good citizen training. I don't have cats but cats are so absolutely special to me. They complete me. As a pet mom myself, I know how hard it is to find trustworthy, reliable care. My main goal is to give you peace of mind knowing that your pet is receiving the best care available. I am passionate about what I do, and I love keeping you updated with pictures and videos of your furry child. I take safety very seriously. When your pet is under my care, I take several precautions to keep everyone safe: - All pets are fed separately. - Pets are never left together unattended. - I individualize my care and approach to match each pet’s needs and personality as well as their pet parents’ preferences. I’ll follow your instructions and cross my t’s and dot my i’s. I’ll send daily updates and photos, we can FaceTime with your furry baby while you're away and I’ll be there for them as if they were my very own. I’m a BIPOC woman and I’m also an ally. I am happy to serve everyone. My pronouns are she/her. I hope we can meet and you’ll allow me to be your furry baby’s best friend. 10% of my earnings through Rover go to support the organization Veterinarians Without Borders -an NGO comprised of individuals who have served to promote animal wellbeing, human health and economic development- I am a proud volunteer at this organization as well. -HOURS AND AVAILABILITY- Drop off for doggy day care or boarding takes place between 7 and 7:30 am and 9:30 to 11 am Pick up takes place between 5 and 6 pm I keep my calendar updated and my availability will be displayed on the calendar. -DOG WALKING- (Currently away from dog walking) I walk dogs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11 am to 3 pm Please allow a range of +/- 30 minutes for me to arrive based on traffic flow. I’m comfortable walking any age, size and breed of dog. Please disclose all behavior and medical history. Please make sure their Rover profile is up to date with instructions and vet info. We will schedule a trial walk to make sure we’re a good fit. -DOGGY DAY CARE- (Not booking at the moment) We live in a split level home with a fully fenced 1/3 acre L-shaped backyard, surrounded by lots of trails and ½ mile from Lake Washington. We have a doggy gate separating levels as well as our dogs’ room and multiple other bedrooms to get space or some separation if needed. While I’m home pets will receive indoor/outdoor play time throughout the day! We spend lots of time outside to burn off all the energy for a good night's sleep. I put in extra effort to make sure I have a safe and playful environment for pets. Their happiness and safety will always be my top priority as much as I am sure it is yours. -Requirements: Socialized, fully vaccinated, crate trained (crates are not used unless requested by pet parents but pets need to be crate trained in case of an emergency), receiving flea and parasite prevention, potty trained. Please disclose all behavior and medical history. Please make sure their Rover profile is up to date with feeding and medication instructions and vet info. If your pet requires to be fed during the day please bring their portioned meal ready for the day. Please message me when you arrive and I will meet you outside as ringing the doorbell will cause the pups to be on alert and too excited. -DROP INS- (Accepting new clients) I am happy to come to your home for 30 or 60 minute drop in visits as many times as you need to care for your pet. I’m able to administer oral and injectable medications if needed. Fluids and medical device care have an extra service charge. Please make sure their Rover profile is up to date with feeding and medication instructions and vet info. Please allow for a 30 minute range for me to arrive at your home due to traffic flow and peak traffic hours. -HOUSE SITTING- (Existing clients only. While I’m home pets will receive indoor/outdoor play time throughout the day! We spend lots of time outside to burn off all the energy for a good night's sleep. We have a separate room for cats with several cat trees and I place a feliway pheromone diffuser to help them feel at home. Gabriela is our twix’s new favorite human! Twix is normally a shy and anxious corgi, but Gabriela knows how to approach him and make him feel at ease. She’s also an amazing dog lover and assistance while we were away

A typical day

I love to individualize care for all animals under my care. Find out as much about them as possible. Are they timid? High energy? Do they like other animals? Do they have special needs? Based on their behavior and preferences, I can come up with activities that are suited for their personality, medical needs and energy level.
