Pet care experience
I have a lot of experience with all types of animals after having my own and working/volunteering at a rescue facility, which frequently meant helping a vet with injured animals, as well as administering injections, pills, etc. I love working with animals, which is why I have spent over a decade petsitting instead of more conventional types of part time jobs to fund my education and other expenses. I have no problem administering medication (even with the tricky pups!) and have worked with all types of temperaments, breeds, and sizes. I have my own LLC and pet care insurance independent of Rover, so you know that I take my role as a caregiver seriously! For boarding, I have an oversized yard, and will have turf grass installed (perfect for rainy days) by July 2023. I live in a single-story (no stairs), single family home in a quiet neighborhood. I have plenty of tools for enrichment, like balls, Nylabones and chew toys, CollieBalls/herding balls, rope and pull toys, a treadmill for dogs, lick mats, a treat bag for walks and training, and puzzle toys! Please let me know if you have any specialized requests for me and any expectations you may have. I will try to work with any situation, but please understand that requests that are especially demanding of my time or efforts may incur additional costs! This includes additional fees for dogs that require extensive regular grooming or private exercise and/or medical care. While I am more than happy to work with dogs and cats that need insulin injections or pills for epilepsy, I do not accept pets that have contagious illnesses, open sores or wounds, or histories of aggressive behavior towards humans or animals.

Before scheduled to sit: What is your dog's temperament and needs? For example, how they interact with other dogs, if they have any special needs, what their daily routine looks like, areas they do/don't like rubs/pets, if I should be careful going in and out of doors (for the escape happy), if and when they need to be in a crate (just to sleep, when I am not present, etc), vet number, emergency contact, etc. Please make sure to list any dietary restrictions, allergies, medical concerns, or behavioral issues that may present during their stay.
A typical day
I live right by a 20 acre park, which features plenty of shaded trails. My house features a fully fenced and turfed backyard on an oversized lot. My house is cleaned professionally weekly, and I have plenty of extra toys and enrichment equipment! For the summer, I have cooling mats and doggy pools.

Availability
I am fairly flexible, but do require advance notice if you need to change times for drop off and pick up for boarding. Drop off/pick up hours: 6-10 AM; 3-7 PM.
