Pet care experience
---About Me--- My name is Gabriela, and I am a native of Venice, FL. I live in Venice Gardens with my tabby cat Roku and my pit mix Kessner. I’ve been a Rover sitter since November 2016. ---What I Need to Know--- Here are some of the questions you can expect me to ask during our Meet & Greet. (1) Does your dog have a history of aggression? If so, please do explain. Aggression is not necessarily a deal-breaker, and I do not refuse to work with any dog based on weight or breed. Is your dog is aggressive (or simply over-excited) toward other dogs or people? Does he like to be petted on his back, but not on his head or belly? The more information of this nature that I have, the better prepared I will be to handle any challenges that the dog might face during our time together. (2)Is your dog accustomed to a certain routine? For example, do you tell your dog to “sit” before attaching the leash? Do you let your dog in the backyard 30 minutes after dinner? Do you have multiple dogs who share one bowl? Does the dog sleep in a crate? The more I know about your dog’s daily life, the better. (3)Have you trained your dog to follow any commands or do tricks? Sit, stay, roll over, play dead, heel, etc. Specific phrasing (“down” vs. “off,” for example) is useful. (4)How long can your dog go without a potty break? This question is applicable only to house-sitting clients. The answer to this question will not affect the price of the stay, but it does affect my schedule, especially if you are on the edge of my service area. I will absolutely work within your dogs’ needs, but I need to be able to plan around them. ---What You Can Expect--- Here is some information about how I will be interacting with you and your dog. (1)Punctuality. I have reliable transportation, and I keep all of my visits in an organized schedule. (2)Privacy and safety. I will never, for any reason, share your personal information with anyone. I will never, for any reason, bring anyone (human or canine) into your home without your explicit permission. (3)Communication. My cell phone is always on and always charged. Do not hesitate to contact me. I respond to every message within a matter of minutes. I also have lots of fun taking pictures of your pets, so you should always be comfortable knowing that your furry family member is having fun! (4)Distance. My average walk is approximately 0.8-1.2 miles, depending on the dog, the neighborhood, and the weather. Each walk is a minimum of 30 minutes, and no more than 40. (If your dog needs a longer walk, keep reading!) ---More Info--- (1)Special New Service: One-Hour Walks! I recommend one-hour walks on a regular basis for exceptionally high-energy dogs. I also recommend them on an occasional basis if you need to tire your dog out before you entertain guests in your home, for example. Normal 30-minute walks are $15. One-hour walks are $25. To book a one-hour walk: Simply book a regular walk with me and specify in your message that you would like a one-hour walk. I will then manually change the price, and Rover will have you confirm the details before entering your payment information. Please note that for long walks, I will stop in the middle for a short water break. I will be carrying an extra bottle of water and a collapsible water dish with me. (2)Dog paws! I prefer not to walk dogs between the hours 12pm and 3pm, especially in the Florida summer. Pavement is hot, and dog paws are not invincible.
Reviews
Our dogs and my mother in law loved Gabrialla. Our only issue is that she started working for us independent of Rover privately...and our security cameras show that she wasnt spending the whole thirty minutes with our pets...and wasnt giving the dogs adequate walks. My recommendation is that if you hire her stay with Rover for the accountability.
Gabriela was great as usual! This was our third time booking with her and we will definitely book with again in the future!
Very responsible, good with the dogs, courteous and respectful. I highly recommend Gabriela!
Gabriela is awesome! If you are looking for someone to walk your fur-baby, look no further. She is reliable, timely, and let’s me know when she is headed to my house. I trust her completely and will allow her to enter my home whether I am there or not. She takes and sends me pictures of my girl while they are out on the walk, which I Think is great. When they return, I can tell Ariana is content and happy that she was just out with her new best friend. After a walk I can count on Ariana being down for the count for at least 1-2 hours, which allows me to get more things done around the house. I consider myself lucky to have found Gabriela. But most of all, my dog loves her and that means there is no other walker for us.
