Gabriel is wonderful with our pets! They are old and needy and he is very responsible and loving to them. I never worry when I know he is house/pet sitting. He also sends photos and videos which I appreciate so much when we are away. I highly recommend him!!! A very good human!

Gabriel has been walking my two terriers for 1 1/2 years. He is great with my pups and he always has a great attitude. He texts me whenever something is off and when things are funny. I trust him completely with the keys to my house and the care of my fur babies.

If you're reading this it means you're probably a good dog owner who cares deeply for the wellbeing of your pup. You care enough to come to this website and read a review. You aren't one to just leave your dog at home without exercise, without someone to hang out with, etc. And along with making sure your pup is taken care of, another major part of being a dog owner is having that peace ...

Your Larchmont Village go-to guy!

I started Gotaway Home + Pet Concierge just over six years ago, born of my love for animals and community. My focus is to give them the love, care, and exercise they need when you can't be there during the day, and to be available overnight should you need to be out of town. I believe that keeping your pet in a familiar environment and adhering to their routine is the best way to keep them ...

What Gabriel would like to know about your dog

Temperament is always my first question. How are they around other dogs, adults, and kids? Do loud noises (fireworks, thunder, etc.) scare them or make them unpredictable? Are they food-protective? Can I bathe them or administer medications safely? Do they howl or chew things when alone, or try to escape often? Where do they hide (if they hide)? Do they know/are they learninh commands? General health, energy level, and whether or not they're on a special diet or medications will always be discussed.

I have sat small, medium, and large dogs, but I prefer medium to large dogs with a penchant for running!

When Gabriel watches your pet

I try to get a sense of their regular routines, sticking closely to them to help curtail any possible separation anxiety they may feel. I am a softy though, and so I can't say that we wouldn't take a few special trips (new trails, dog parks, etc.) to keep that good vacation feeling going!
