I've owned a wide variety of dogs ranging from St. Bernard's to pits to smaller rescues. I get along well with all kinds. I prefer communication with a dog first before strict discipline. I do not condone physical violence against dogs, even when trying to break up a dog fight. There are always safe ways of handling them. You just have to listen to their needs and communicate in a way that they understand. I have Asperger Syndrome, so in truth I get along better with dogs than with humans.
