Your Pups' Solitary Domain Getaway
Pet care experience
We lost my Basset Hound of 12 years in September 2021. "Tater" experienced many issues towards the end of his life and we are prepared to care for your dog(s) needs at any stage. We have each always grown up with dogs. We love dogs and really miss caring for pups in our home. We both work from home and can easily care for your furry friend throughout our day. Our two children go to day care all day Monday-Friday and adore animals when they're here, too. We have a good sized back yard (see bird's eye drone photo) with 6 foot privacy fence surrounding, lots of room to run, sniff and do the doggy business. Sliding door connects living room to back yard with one short step down into the back yard for easy doggy access.
Reviews
Great communication, very flexible, and well suited to caring for shy dogs. You can tell the whole family loves dogs. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again!
Gabe, Christie, and there daughter were great. They instantly made Alysha feel at home, comforted her during the thunderstorms, and sent me updates so I wouldn’t feel worried about how she was behaving while I was there. Alysha also loved the attention from having a small playmate and getting to romp in their yard. Gabe and Christie usually responded to my text messages within minutes
Gave and Christie were great! They took great care of my pup and communicated with me daily to give me updates and show that she was having fun. Awesome hosts; I will definitely be coming back to them.
Ally was quite comfortable here. They took great care of our girl.

When your dog is in our home, its like family, because that's what we want most out of this experience as boarding hosts with Rover: 1) to have our daughters raised around dogs 2) to have your dog as a companion while we aren't ready to have another dog of our own, yet, and 3) help us keep our home safe.

*WE ONLY ACCEPT KID-FRIENDLY DOGS. NO EXCEPTIONS.* We have had incidents with Rover dogs harming our child and will be quick to archive a request without explanation if we feel the dog will not be a good fit in our home. We want this to be a positive experience for everyone. Crate trained pets are preferred, but not required. We will care for up to 3 dogs at a time, but all must be from the same family. When your dog(s) stay with us, you can rest assured, yours are the only dogs staying here. Due to scheduling pressures, we may have a few hours of overlap from incoming/outgoing/meet & greet with other dogs, but we will communicate any overlap with you ahead of time. Your pups will have the rule of the roost and not be expected to deal with any other dogs. We look forward to meeting you! :)
A typical day
We love to go on long walks (weather permitting) to local breweries and parks on the weekends. On weekdays, Gabe will play fetch or hide and seek with your dog for hours on end in our big back yard and Christie will take short walking breaks around the block every so often. At night we eat around the dinner table as a family.

Availability
We work from home and can easily take a few moments away to let your pup out to potty, sniff or play. Gabe likes to take the dog for a run on the trail by their house and Christie likes to take the dog on a walk around the neighborhood.
