My name is Franzi. I am a dog trainer, lover and enthusiast and very passionate about the canine field in general. A little bit about myself: About 8 years ago I really wanted to get into rescue work and worked as a Board and Train Lead to two Giant Mastiff Rescues one being THORR and the other one being East Coast Gentle Giants. My main focal point over the past years was working one on one with rescue dogs in need of training and rehabilitation, which allowed me to work with breeds like Presa Canario, Boerboel, Cane Corso, Neapolitan Mastiffs, Rottweilers, Great Danes and other Giants. Providing them with Obedience Training as well as guidance during their boarding time by molding, shaping and capturing wanted behavior and addressing any nuisance behaviors as they appeared, (heavy) medical care and proper socialization in group classes as well as exposing them to different environments and distractions in preparation of their forever homes. While I really enjoy working with Molosser breeds, I have a soft spot for small breeds with the Miniature Pinscher being my ultimate favorite breed of dog, however generally speaking I am very comfortable with any dog breed that comes my way as they all have something unique and fun to offer. I am a certified dog trainer and Nuisance Behavior Specialist that loves not just the training aspect but I am also competitive in dog sports and conformation (dog shows). When your dog stays with me for Boarding - Supervised play in and outside - The dogs are allowed on furniture and beds unless otherwise instructed - Fully fenced yard with 6 ft wooden fence; wooden decks with shade provided by trees; in summer we have a small pool for splashing fun and cooling down - Dogs are family while they stay and will be treated as such - Fulfillment of daily needs such as feeding, administering medication if needed, play, walks and downtime - Grooming offered for an additional fee - Pick-Up and Drop-Off offered for an additional fee - Flexible schedule and short notice availability - Daily Updates can be provided in the form of videos and photos if requested by the owner - please know that due to the nature of my job as a Dog Trainer, as well as having two cats of my own, crate rotation is a must at my house. The dogs are provided with plenty of outside time and play but to keep everyone safe in between it is a necessity to have supervised down time in their crate / crate time when I’m away, during their stays. Services outside the home such as Dog walking / Drop-Ins / Home Sitting: - 30 min walks per Dog Walking visit - Feeding, potty breaks and play time for all pets inside the home during Drop-Ins; Grooming is available for an additional fee - Feeding, potty breaks and play time for all pets inside the home during Home Sitting as well as the maintenance of the home itself - Flexible schedule and short notice availability - Located in North Chicago IL - however, I am happy to travel within a 25-mile radius - Daily Updates can be provided in the form of videos and photos if requested by the owner
