I have had a dog or dogs my entire life. When my wife and I got married she had a dog, Ginger, who became my dog too. Several years into our marriage she became sick. After she passed at age 14 we decided to adopt a baby together. We spent months looking for just the right furry family addition, Abby was our choice! Since I was retired, I was at home every day, and I became a primary caretaker for Abby. I potty trained her and taught her many voice commands. She is my buddy and loves to go “bye-byes in the car” when I run errands. She’s our very smart and good girl! Prefer to board one dog at a time unless from the same owner. Prefer pets that are not afraid or intimidated easily. My dog gets along with most dogs but if your dog is docile and does not like to play then we might not be a good fit. I am retired from the workforce so I am home full-time. I am also a part-time volunteer for 2 hours two to three days a week. Prefer to board one dog at a time unless there are two from the same household. Our home is dog-friendly. Our 1/2 acre yard is fenced. Our dog, Abby, is a 6 y.o. mixed breed who weighs 93 lbs. She is very playful and enjoys the company of other dogs to the point that when her friend comes to visit, she jumps on the sofa to watch him coming and runs to the door to welcome him. My wife works but is home weekends sure our furry friends get lots of attention and love. We also have a few grandchildren who come around occasionally and love to give doggy hugs!
