Come Stay Play II

Pet care experience

Finding a place for our furry family members while we're on vacation or out-of-town can can be a stressful situation. Will our dog be happy? Safe? Afraid or lonely? I love my dog, but (s)he can be quirky at times. Will the sitter know how to handle them? My dog has special needs, will they get the proper and loving care they require and deserve? Hi, I'm Francois. I'm new to the rover community, but not new to taking care of dogs. I am a stay-at-home Dad. I am a first- generation Deaf in my family and I am fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). I have very little residual hearing, however; I can communicate effectively with all individuals with a pen and paper - this does not interfere with my abilities to care for pets whatsoever. I encourage a meet and greet before your booking to become acquainted with you and your pets. This meet and greet is beneficial to ensure I am the right fit for you and your pets. Your pets will be given lots of love and attention as well as daily walks and exercise. For overnight boarding in my home, I am more than happy to provide your pets with whatever accommodations they need to become comfortable in an unfamiliar surrounding. I have 1 grandpup (Ellie) that belongs to my daughter Rebecca who is also a Rover Sitter and 2 cats. Interactions will be limited and supervised at all times. Please feel free to check out Ellie's profile for detailed information. Your dogs will enjoy their stay in my comfortable home where I have a large fenced backyard where your dogs can get plenty of fun and exercise in a safe and secure environment. The dogs will ALWAYS be supervised when out in the yard and NEVER left unattended. I have a kiddie pool that is available to your dogs to cool off in - what fun! You can expect your dogs to have the same experience provide for my own. ***I am more than willing to accommodate pets that require special care due to age, chronic illnesses, post-surgical recovery, and/or other medical reasons. I will treat your pets as my own and greatly understand the importance of your pets' needs. With me, your pets are in gentle, caring, and experienced hands! My experience administering medication: I am very comfortable in administering medications, due to my many experiences, such as: using an inhaler, giving pills (by mouth, in food, pocket pills, etc.), administering cream in the ears or on the body, eye/ear drops, etc. I do not have experience at this time with administering injections, however, I am willing to learn if you teach me!

I’ve never had a pet sitter who was as attentive and caring as Francois! My dog has a chronic lung disease, and giving her meds and inhaler was not a problem for him! He sent pictures and updates of my dog and cat throughout the day, which gave me peace of mind because they looked so happy! Also, Francois left my house perhaps cleaner than I left it! When my dog woke up this morning, she ran around the house looking for Francois!! I can’t wait for him to pet sit again!

This was the first time I’ve had someone stay at my house and I could not be happier. Such a better option for my senior pups to keep them at home and in their environment. The house was sparkling clean when we returned and the pups were happy! Thank you so much!!!

This was the 2nd time I booked Francois to stay at my house with my dogs and he was just as good if not better than the last time. He gave multiple daily updates as well as asked questions regarding the dogs or house. I’ll definitely book him again!

Information Francois R. would like to know about your pet

It’s necessary to know about any special needs your pets may have, ranging from dietary restrictions to behavioral concerns. I am very accommodating, and with your help, will provide the best care possible for special needs. Please include the following in your care instructions and/or inquiry: - Allergies (food/environmental) - Toy or treat restrictions - History of destructive behavior - History of reactivity (such as barking/lunging on leash, guarding food or toys, or uncontrollable excitement) - History of separation anxiety In case of an emergency, I would like to have your veterinarian's contact information (name, ph numbers, address) on hand.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks: I have a large fenced-in backyard with grass and trees that provide shades. Your dogs will NEVER be left unattended when they are romping out in my backyard. I am often out there playing with them (fetch/tug of war), swimming in my pool, or reading. There is ALWAYS a bowl of fresh water with ice that is readily available for dogs to quench their thirst. I am also always visiting different trails in the area - if your dogs like that, I'll be more than happy to bring them along! I also enjoy early morning and evening strolls around the neighborhood. If your dogs prefer quiet areas, there are plenty of other routes available to suit their needs. Your dogs will get a lot of exercise, which makes for tired but happy dogs at the end of the day! Depending on your dog, we can play tug of war, fetch, go swimming, or on a hike. My dog, Ellie, loves playdates. If you are interested in socializing your dogs at your home or mine, I am more than happy to bring her along to our Meet and Greet, to see how they get along. Time I'll spend with your dog: Typically, your dogs and I could spend at least 7 to 8 waking hours on weekdays, and every waking hour on the weekends. For mid-day walks, they typically last 30-45 minutes. I am able to accommodate to your needs, whether you want the visits to be shorter or longer. Extra house-sitting services: I am able to bring in the mail, water your plants, leave a detailed journal (notes about your pets for each visit), send you an email or text message with an attachment of your pets, and if you feed alley cats, I would happily do that as well.
