Pet care experience
Growing up, we had a “special needs” dog, a plott hound named Bailey. We adopted her when I was 7 yeas old and a he passed away 3 years ago and left a gaping hole in my heart. Bailey taught me so much, about what dogs need, how each dog is different, and how to reciprocate the unconditional love that they give to us. I took care of her on my own many times, and took her home with me when my dad would go on trips. Learned to walk, feed, bathe, and cuddle her at her stinkiest and most pugnacious. I also fell in love with cats in 2020 when I moved in with a roommate who had one. She left me alone with Bamba, the kitten, often, and she and I bonded wholeheartedly. I learned that cats need play, exploration, and love just like dogs do, but they are unique and should be treated as such. I attained so much joy from these animals in my life, and took care of them like they were my own. I look forward to doing the same with your pets!

Just loving dogs is not enough. It's the sine qua non, of course, but dog parents also need to feel trust and confidence in a caregiver. Francesca meets all the criteria. I know because Francesca grew up in my house, a dog-loving house. I have seen her "Excuse-me-may-I-pet-your-dog?" canine love on the street for all of her life. I have also seen her fulfill all the feeding and grooming commitments we agreed on in the family. She keeps her word, she's on time, and she follows instructions to the letter. Oh, and one more thing: she loves dogs.
Francesca loves both dogs and cats. She has had both in her life. She knows how much love they are capable of and she misses that. But above all this, Francesca is extremely responsible, caring and energetic. She can walk your dog to exhaustion and play with your cat until it retreats under the bed because it has had enough. You can trust her to feed your pet on time and be present for every need. I hope she gets selected for this job, you would not be disappointed.

Please keep me informed on any special requirements or tendencies that your dog may have. I love dogs of all temperaments, but it’s necessary to be prepared! Also, what am I allowed to do? For instance, can your pup go in the water? Does your pup like playing with balls? Can your pup be around other dogs? Off leash? These are all questions I would like answered before getting to meet your dog. Thank you!
A typical day
I love to explore the nature around Amsterdam! Your pup and I will find a park, some woods, or an open space in the countryside where we can smell all the smells and see all the sights. Then, if your pup is up for it, we’ll set up in a spot and toss the ball around or throw a stick. We can even go swimming in the bos if the owners allow! A wet dog is a happy dog.
