I've always been a passionate dog lover, and have been surrounded my dogs in my home for as long as I can remember! At a young age, I quickly learned how to walk, groom, and play with large, playful, and often stubborn dogs, as both of my dogs have been large Airedale Terriers. This past summer, I learned how to care for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and ages when I worked as a dog walker through a local Capitol Hill pet-care company. I spent the hot humid summer months walking about five dogs a day and never grew tired of working and caring for dogs each day! The dogs certainly ranged in temperaments (some hostile to other dogs/people, while others were overwhelmingly friendly and loving), and I was trained how to care for all of them individually. Visits would typically include a 30-minute walk, followed by a cool-down period, during which I would play with the dog indoors and replenish their water bowl. And now that I'm back at UVM as a Junior (away from my dog Benny and my job), I would love to continue to care for all dogs in the Burlington community! I live with two responsible and kind roommates in a spacious house in the Old North End. We have lots of room downstairs for dogs to play, rest, and run around, as well as a grass yard in the back (shared with about 5 other neighbors, but rarely occupied). Great neighborhood for walks! And we live about a block from a large park with plenty of green space!
