Always felt Lupo was in excellent care with Frances!

Frances has had a dog for all but the first 6 months of her life. As a youth, it was enough to just play and snuggle with her dog. But as she grew older, she welcomed the responsibilities that came with it. Such as taking them to the dog park, giving them baths, teaching them tricks. She loved dogs so much, she volunteered at the shelter for a couple years before being old enough to work. I don't know how many times growing up she's seen a seemingly lost dog that she stopped for and went out of her way to try to help and find the owner. The saddest one was a hit dog at a road median. But Frances stopped and with the help of a couple other strangers, tended to the dog to see if there was anything they can do only to just help clean it up and call animal control. One of her dogs now has a reputation in the family of being naughty but he will obey Frances when he crosses the line, while he tends to ignore most other members of the family. I think he senses that Frances both loves him unconditionally but at the same time is someone of authority to him. There is definite communication there and he understands through Frances the line between play and misbehaving. It's a two way street though because not too many other things can cheer up or comfort Frances after a hard day at school or summer job like her dogs can. Like all dog lovers, it's because Frances understands that her dogs, as most dogs do, are giving that unconditional love right back.
