Having had dogs of our own, we know the immense joy they can bring to our lives- but also the stress of leaving the dogs when we go away! I (Fran) have been caring for dogs from the age of 11 when we got our gorgeous Golden Retriever Pip, so have experienced it all - from puppyhood to old-man status! Mike has always had dogs, and a variety of breeds ranging from gentle giant Doberman to tiny Jack Russel puppies. Due to the range of dogs owned and cared for, we are comfortable looking after dogs of different sizes and temperants. We absolutely love long walks and time outside playing with dogs (a real perk of the job!) and also a cuddle indoors in the evenings. Other than dog care, between us we have also cared for cats, guinea pig, rabbits, 99 year old tortoises, hamsters, bearded dragons, budgies, horses and chickens. So if you have any other pets, let us know and we make sure they get the care they need. Our availability is reasonably flexible. I work a hybrid role for a local technology company while Mike is a final year PHD at the University of Oxford - we can both code anywhere so between us are around throughout the day while looking after your pet. A little walk is the perfect way to start the work day during the week. We are around during the day, so wouldn't leave your pet for more than a couple of hours. As a couple we have double the resources so can make sure to give your pet constant cuddles and attention. Every pet is different, so understanding what your pet needs is really important to us. Not all dogs like long walks and cuddles (even my old-man dog can't go for too long now!) so we adapt our care style to suit the case.
