Pet care experience
Hi! I’ve worked in dog rescue for a decade now and I’ve fostered and found homes for over 30 shelter dogs! I also spent a full year working for a Veterinarian Clinic in Boston. I love animals, I’m patient and understanding, and can’t wait to meet your pet! I’m currently working part time in fitness and photography, leaving many windows throughout the day (and week) to care for pets! I have my own dogs (Oliver and Bennett) and also volunteer as a wildlife rehab specialist. Every pet is different and has different needs. I like to learn about those in advance and proceed on a per pet basis. Some dogs need more patience and structure for instance, or benefit from mental stimulation as much as physical. I adjust my care style to the specific needs of the client. The pets safety and comfort is of top priority.

Fiona helped us out in a pinch over a holiday weekend and we are so grateful! She took good care of our two elderly kitties who both require medications (including one who is diabetic and needs insulin shots). She seemed totally comfortable with the meds, sent a number of photos from her visit, and our slightly hidey cat seemed to like her and didn’t even hide when she first came by for the house key. She’s clearly a true animal lover; our dog loved her also, though she was traveling with us and not in need of care this time around. Two thumbs up and we’ll definitely reach out to Fiona again next time we’re in need. Thanks again!
Fiona is absolutely outstanding! She is punctual, responsive, and truly demonstrated a passion for her work. She watched out 14 week pup while we were with family for Christmas and he adored her! We loved the photos and videos she sent during her time with him. Would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy pet sitter.

Things I like to know about a dog: temperament, exercise needs, training preferences and commands, any known allergies, medications, policy on treats, feeding schedule and any quirks they might have! I love all kinds of dogs and I am very comfortable with nervous dogs who need time to trust. I have also cared for dogs who need medication given or specific physical therapy activities performed.
A typical day
I love to go for walks, hikes, or play fetch in the backyard. I also love to cuddle up and give affection, or, work on training! Roger Williams Park is a great on-leash option. For off leash I prefer my own fenced in yard which has tons of toys, grass and is secure!

Availability
I have availability throughout the day and week and generally try to make Sunday my day off. That said I’m always happy to accommodate in an emergency or occasional housesitting on Sundays.
