Pet care experience
Hi there :) I’m a fourth year vet student studying at the university of Glasgow and originally from Canada! In the last 8 years I have had plenty of experience caring for animals. I’m an experienced dog sitter, cat sitter and dog walker. I’m able to work with puppies as well as elderly dogs who require lots of attention and special needs. To tell you more specifically about my experience, I’ve looked after a 17 year old golden retriever named Luke for 1 year. He required medications twice a day and to be let out while his owner was at work. Additionally, each Christmas I’m trusted with 4 pets (2 dogs and 2 cats) for two weeks while the family goes on vacation. I’m given the responsibility of taking care of them as well as staying in the family home. I’ve also worked as a veterinary assistant for 2 years before heading off to university. Whenever I returned home for the summer I would continue volunteering at various animal hospitals to gain even more animal handling experience! I miss my pets from home very much so I’m always looking for ways to be close to animals :)
Reviews
Our wee Bailey LOVES staying with Fiona. She is so kind and gentle and makes him feel right at home. I'm not sure he wanted to come home after seeing how much fun he was having from the pictures and videos Fiona kindly sent 🐾❤️. Will definitely be booking back in with Fiona when we need someone to care for our precious Bailey. Thank you so much! Xx
Excellent sitter! My husky loved his time with Fiona and he was well looked after! Highly recommended!
Fiona was great taking care of my french bulldog when I was travelling. My dog loved Fiona from the first moment they met each other. 😍 I felt very comfortable and happy to leave my dog with Fiona, I know she would take good care of him. Thank you, Fiona. Highly recommend you.
Fiona came to my house for the day to look after my 10 week old puppy Elsie and she was brilliant. I could not fault her communications and how well she cared for Elsie. Highly recommended.

My flat has a fenced garden for dogs to run around! If I’m at the pets home I’m happy to take them on their daily walks, play with them and make them feel comfortable :) I’ve always respected the owners home and leave it perfectly clean.

Information Fiona C. would like to know about your pet
It would be useful to know if the dog had any known fears or triggers (my dog at home goes ballistic when she sees a squirrel!). It would also be great to know how long you typically take them out for, if they’re okay to be off leash and if they’re good around other dogs :)
A typical day
For dogs, I am able to take them on long walks to get their energy out. If they are able to, I’d love taking them to parks so we can run and play :) at home, I’d be more than happy to play with the dog to stimulate them ensuring they’re not too bored. For cats, I’m very familiar with how to handle a hyper and even aggressive cat. My cat Cleo is extremely active but also doesn’t like the idea of strangers. I’ve worked with her over the years to make her a bit more playful without overwhelming her!

I’m a full time student but I can do lectures from home if necessary! I’m able to take dogs on a nice long walk on the kelvin walkway as that’s near where I live
