Pet care experience
Based out of Whitehorse. Open to bookings outside of Whitehorse, may charge a travel fee to accommodate. I am also in Vancouver throughout the year and open to bookings. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for the last 5 years professionally and have had pets most of my life. I spend my time as an Operations Manager at a local non-profit and working in the arts on community based initiative and events. The rest of my time I spend caring for animals, hiking, biking, cooking and socializing.

Finn was such a STELLAR sitter. The pics were great and showed how happy and well walked and cared for my trio of dogs were. They’re not easy: two seniors (one with dementia) and all 3 on meds. Finn was perfect with care instructions and even solved my girl’s reluctance to eat by adding water to her food (which I hadn’t thought of). I’m grateful for the excellent care, I could see how much the dogs liked Finn right away. A highly recommended sitter!
Super friendly and great with my pup.
This was our first time working with Finn P. We had a visit in our home a few months before travelling, then Finn came again to walk our pups, and finally we left for almost two weeks. Everything was seamless. It was very clear since the beginning that Finn was an excellent fit for our family, and our pups felt comfortable and trusted Finn without effort. During our trip, we received the perfect amount of updates, with beautiful pictures showing how well they were doing, and having fun too! Everything was fine when we got home, Finn made sure of that. We recommend Finn with no reservations.

My schedule is relatively flexible which makes it easy for me to take bookings any day of the week, though I do work a full time job. I have the ability to work some days throughout the week from home. I have a car and can travel to you and to take your dogs on adventures. I have seatbelts that fasten to your dogs harness in my car. Off leash walks and play only upon request of the owners and with pets I've already built rapport with.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs, their personality and preference of touch. Some dogs are cuddlier than others and knowing their comfort and anxiety levels helps me understand how to connect with them. How much energy they have and intensity of exercise. Their favourite spots or toys.
A typical day
I love to be outside in any season. We will explore local smells or new trails and adventures. Play with all the toys or relax and snuggle. I usually prefer to take new dog clients places they are already comfortable and familiar with during our first visit, allowing us to build trust and get to know each other.

Several of the dogs I care for are quite anxious or need extra patience, I have a calming energy that allows them to relax and feel comfortable.
