My name is Keeva and my pronouns are she/they 🏳️‍⚧️ ✨A Quick Summary of my Experience with dogs✨: I have 5 years of experience working with dogs professionally. This includes several months as a kennel tech at a vet clinic, 3 years as a Dog Handler at Doggy Daycares, as well as 2 years as a Professional Independent Dogsitter. I have also raised my own puppy and have spent 9 months of my life training, fostering, and rehabilitating a dog with a bite history, severe anxiety, and resource guarding. 🐶My Behavioral Expertise🐶: I have worked with dogs of all different temperaments, sizes, and breeds in a variety of different environments. From well socialized small dogs to shy, anxious, and at times agressive larger dogs. I find joy in being able to help make uncomfortable animals trust me, I see my ability to help gain their trust as a pathway towards them being more trusting of others in the future. I like to heal. 🦴My Behavioral Philosophy🦴: When it comes to working with dogs, cats, and other non humans I believe in bridging cross species communication gaps. I have spent years of my life studying canine body language and have become very adept at understanding dogs as well as teaching them to understand me using positive reinforcement methods. After that it's all about accommodating the needs that the animals are communicating to me while also communicating my boundaries as an individual as well as reinforcing the boundaries my clients have informed me already exist within their pups life. 💖 🐕My Dog Rudy🐕: Rudy and I are a team and she comes with me on all of my housesitting jobs. They are a well socialized female Chihuahua/Minpin mix who I take with me on my house/petsitting gigs. Over the last 2 and a half years she has helped me work with every different dog I have worked with, whether they be reactive, anxious, fearful, or social and outgoing. Many of my anxious clients have found her presence, as well as her confidence to be helpful and sometimes even healing and many of my more social clients have developed very beautiful friendships with her 🥰 I am willing to discuss all potential bookings as every dog is unique, however I will not accept bookings that place undue amounts of stress upon Rudy, myself, or my clients.
