Pet care experience

Premium care for premium pups! -Please do not reach out to us unless your profile is completed in its’ entirety and that your dog’s information page is complete with photos, details on demeanor/temperament and their vet information. Read through our entire profile before reaching out as all of our details and prices will be outlined here.- Ferdelle and David recently moved to the heart of Downtown Napa with our two dogs Bruce Wayne and Anderson Pooper. With an enclosed backyard and lots of space for love - we are so excited to have a perfect space for doggy day care! If you’re in need of a last minute walk, our schedules are really great for accommodating your schedule. Our dog care involves lots of love, keeping your dog safe and on top of their training and fun socializing with our friendly dog-children (if we are lucky enough to dog sit for you!) If you’re here visiting our beautiful area and have plans that can’t include your doggies, bring them to us and we will take care of them while you have a fantastic time out. Again, our schedules are happy to accommodate you and your plans. Our Victorian home has an enclosed fenced backyard that houses our two dogs: Anderson Pooper (Labradoodle Bichon rescue) and Bruce Wayne (mini schnauzer). We have hardwood floors and a few area rugs. Our dogs are friendly and we are adamant on their training and good behavior. They get to go for walks by the Napa River as it is only two blocks from our house and downtown Napa is just as close. Our household is active and likes to go out for walks and explore our neighborhood. Anderson Pooper who is sweet and docile and is more like a cat than anything. He was a stray in Van Nuys and we adopted him in May 2018 and we love him so much. I spent a lot of time training him when we first got him, so thanks for Cesar Milan i’ve got the whole dog behavior and dog training thing under my belt. Pooper learned how to shake paw in under 10 minutes! My husband is in real estate and I am a writer, audiobook narrator, and actor. We both absolutely love animals and would love to take care of yours!

Ferdelle and David to the rescue! I was in Hawaii when I learned the arrangements we made with another dog walker, whom we met prior to vacation, fell through. I was nervous about finding someone neither CeCe nor I had met. Ferdelle and David were so gentle and patient with CeCe. As you can imagine, she was a lil scared to go with people she had not met, and with her humans not there to introduce them. Ferdelle and David won her trust over in no time. They sent me daily messages and pics. I whole heartedly recommend Ferdelle and David for any of your fur babies needs. Thank you very much Ferdelle and David. I will definitely look to you two for help in the future❤️??☮️

I had a bunch of back to back conference calls, so couldn’t take Cricket out as often or as long as I wanted. Ferdelle was available on short notice and gave my pup some much needed attention and exercise. Cricket was very sad to see her leave. ❤️

Grateful Ferdelle and David were available for last minute dog sitting during the day, but the entire time they made it seem like they were doing me a favor despite me paying top price and an additional “cleaning fee” they slapped on my dog’s stay. Every photo they sent me of him he was on a leash and was not allowed to roam in the house. Additionally his walks were shared with other multiple dogs, which I booked them because they sit one dog at a time but they decided to take my dog out on a multiple dog walk, not OK. They also tried to charge us more money at the end of the day by sending us a Venmo link despite the fact that we dropped my dog off and picked him up within a 7 hour window and rover accommodates 9 hours for day dog sitting. Total violation of terms and services and unacceptable all around. Sitters care more about making the dollar than loving your pet. Would not recommend nor use again. Rover responded back to me saying I do not owe them anything additional.

Safety, trust & environment

We watch our dogs closely even and are crate/dog bed and house trained. We treat all animals like they are our own and are family: safety, kindness and with lots of love. Training is important but our two year old puppy, who is a Mini Schnauzer, likes to bark to tell everyone hello and that he exists — so don’t be alarmed if he startles you, he is learning how to use his voice. He’s just eager and loving and was raised in a pandemic so he’s, ahem, socially awkward but totally sweet. Info on Doggy Day Care: We accept non-shedding, hypoallergenic dogs only up to 25 lbs. They must be house broken, get along with other smaller dogs, no history of aggression, no anxiety. Our day rate is $90 with a $15 additional per hour after an 8 hour mark. We are very flexible seeing as people like to enjoy their time in Napa and we are fine to accommodate that, it’s a pleasure for us to have another dog in our home (I would love a third dog but David says 2 is enough. Ha. So this allows for the best of both worlds.) Remember to bring anything your dog might need to feel at home: a crate or bed, their favorite treats, their leash, harness and poop bags, and their bowls and meals. We have a doggy water fountain here and several water dispensers in different rooms of our house, so don’t worry about water. Your pup is safe with us.

Information Ferdelle & David C. would like to know about your pet

Please let us know the size/weight of your dog if it is coming over as we have a weight limit. Please let us know any important details regarding how they are during a walk (lunging, pulling, suddenly chases squirrels). Safety is the most important thing for us and your dog. We have a slight preference towards non-shedding breeds, but we have a robot vacuum... we won’t be able to resist if your dog is a sweetheart. We also require that your pet is house broken and/or crate trained, although we also make an exception for puppies. We do not accommodate highly anxious dogs or dogs with a history of aggression, or do not get along with other dogs since we have two of our own. If this information is not relayed beforehand and discovered during day care, you will have to arrange to have your dog picked up.

A typical day

On a walk: your dog will be watched carefully and given the best exercise! I will also try and implement some good walk training. If your dog is coming over for Doggy day care: our home has small dogs: Anderson Pooper and Bruce Wayne. Our dogs loves fetch and chase and cuddling most of all, so there will be lots of that. We have plenty of toys and dog accessories so walks, cuddles and playing will be part of the fun. If your dog loves to walk, we have a great area that’s safe and dog friendly and an enclosed, large backyard on astroturf (and if you have a small escape artist, we have measures for that: a 120 ft. leash on a stake) for bathroom breaks. We let our pups out there to use the bathroom or have some outdoor play.

I narrate audiobooks from my home studio when I am not traveling down to Los Angeles where we used to live up until the pandemic. I am down in LA filming fairly regularly but when I am home, I work remotely and am home most, if not all, of the day. David and I take turns as our dogs are never home alone for more than 4 hours at a time.
