Scientist who loves pets!

Pet care experience

I'm a young biophysicist/biochemist with a great passion for animals. I have a PhD in biomedicine, a MSc in biotechnology, and a BSc in chemical engineering. I do have a fulfilling job as a scientist and as of recently coronavirus researcher, however, I would love to spend more time with animals! ** As of September 2019 I can offer a free urinalysis for your puppy or kitty!! I'll be able to test the following chemicals: -Glucose (diabetes, hyperthyroidism, etc.) -Bilirubin (liver disease, hemolysis, etc.) -pH (acidosis, infection, alkalosis, etc. ) -Blood in urine (hematuria, hemoglobinuria,...) -Protein levels (renal disease, infection, etc.) -Nitrite (bacterial infection) -Leukocytes (presence of WBC, pyuria, etc.) -Ketones (metabolism issues) -Specific Gravity (tubular function) ** While working on my PhD, I volunteered at South Plain Wild Life Rehab Center where I fed and took care of birds, squirrels, and many other animals. In addition, I personally rescued many animals including birds, bunnies, 13 lined ground squirrel, cats, and dogs. I was also president of Animal Club at Texas Tech for several years. In Lubbock I was the go-to person to many students when they saw an animal in trouble (especially after flash floods). I always carry pet treats, a leash, and anti-flea medicine in my car in case I run into lost dogs. I am well organized, clean, trustworthy, communicative, patient, and passionate about helping animals. In fact, my current position as a scientist requires all of these characteristics to a high degree! I also have a reliable transportation. My goal is to employ my knowledge and skills in science and technology to save millions of animals in the future! I am also an accomplished musician and I play bagpipes, organ, piano, accordion, and several other instruments professionally! *Regarding the urinalysis test, please notice that many factors can cause false positive or negative results. The results are only for your information so you can watch for specific symptoms and let your vet know about it. The reason I started doing it is I noticed some dogs that I was sitting were urinating and drinking more than what I expected and I was suspected that it's due to diabetes. So I started doing urinalysis in case there is something abnormal so I can let the owners know! In other words, please do not make medical decisions for your pet without consulting with your pet's vet! Thanks :)

Faraz came to the rescue for me at the last moment after a cancellation. Faraz was readily available to help and over qualified! Faraz was great with Hank and great at keeping me updated while I was away on vacation. I highly recommend Faraz!

Faraz was a wonderful fried for our dog to be with for two whole weeks! He showered her in attention and kept us updated with her status (and photos!) while we were traveling. He also used a camera to keep an eye on Annie while he was away. Faraz is a great choice!

Faraz was extremely good about sending text message updates and pictures of my cat. I needed him to come in a couple days to change my cat's litter box and water as I have an automated feeder. I got a picture update every time, which I greatly appreciated. During that time my apartment complex had an issue where they couldn't let him in to the apartment on the scheduled days. He texted me to let me know what happened and came back on an off day to try and get in. He went above and beyond and I will definitely book with him again.

Farzad took care of my sweet girl while on my holiday break. My cat has some medical issues and requires extra attention than the average feline, so I was very worried to leave her for the week. Farzad easily made my fears subside as he took care of Daisy. I especially loved all the pictures, she looked so happy! I would definitely book Farzad again to take care of my cat because he truly went above and beyond.
