Since hearing about my veterinary background, I have been dog-sitting for family members and friends. I also have a background in dog training, but specifically service dog training. My experience is not only in petsitting and walking but also in veterinary medicine as well. I had previously volunteered at a local cat rescue as a veterinary assistant. I administered medications, vaccines, etc. I know proper restraint and am able to work with feral/scared cats. I performed many medical necessities on cats at this rescue for roughly 5 months. After I completed my volunteering at the cat rescue I had taken an externship at a veterinary dental clinic. At this clinic I observed surgeries, blood draws, vaccinations, etc. I was able to help with restraint, blood draws, and many other things around the clinic as well. I was at this externship for roughly 3 months, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Currently, I am actively searching for more ways I can spend time with companions to help further my career in veterinary medicine, along with my own enjoyment.
