Hello, I am a UW student and I would love to help you with your pet care needs. I live/work near the UW Hospital side of campus. Because of this I now have a bit more flexibility in the middle of my days. I will be opening up my calendar to accommodate people looking for help with bathroom breaks on weekdays. I look forward to building a relationship. Once I have done either drop-ins or walks for your pet, I am then open to doing overnight stays if you should need them for a trip. Also, once we have a history I am open to last-minute visits. Sometimes we have very little control over how long we will be away and I would love to help out. I also have professional experience working at a kennel that offered overnight stays, grooming, and doggy daycare. I am no stranger to messes, different personality types, and the unique needs of pets. Now, I use these skills on the side to help cover school costs. I can help you with daily walks or visits. I would love to have a conversation with you about what times you need and I will work with my schedule to successfully get your pet the care it needs even if you are looking for a time that falls outside of my availability. As we build a history together, I am open to modifying my schedule so we can work together to get the care your pet deserves. I can also help with overnight sitting but I prefer to have completed other services with you in the past or at least an in-person meet and greet at your home. With so many years of experience with a range of dogs, I am able to identify and alleviate stress. I know from personal experience a lot of dogs are much more comfortable in their own space overnight.

I believe in being a calming presence in your dogs routine. Their safety is the priority so I take many precautions like starting slow, adhering to the routine they are used to as much as possible, and keeping play to safe areas and times to always make sure your pet is operating below threshold. This reduces the risk of the accidents we all worry about when someone else is watching our pets.

I welcome inquiries for all dogs, but I have to say, big dogs will always hold a special place in my heart. Of course, any history that is important to your dog's safety and my own will be a priority. I would love to know any habits to expect (squirrel chasing, greeting other dogs).
A typical day
I always love to learn each dog's individual quirks and favorite things to do. With me, you can expect your dog to do what you would do if you could be with them! This philosophy is applied to walks, visits, and stays. I look forward to learning your dog's routine and making them feel as fulfilled and comfortable as they would if you were home.

Availability
This spring, I have a mid-day breaks Monday, Wednesday, and Friday that would allow me to do drop-ins or walks on weekdays. On weekends, I do as many drop-ins are needed to accommodate an overnight stay (normally a potty break at breakfast, lunchtime, evening, and before bed). After we have worked together we can talk about overnight stays (when I also sleep over). This is currently what I am comfortable with and I always welcome questions.
