Home full time! Dog trainer 🐶

Pet care experience

You may have noticed a rate increase with my profile. Due to the amount of overbooking I did have to raise my rates to match the service I’m providing. If the price is an issue don’t hesitate to reach out and we can discuss price if needed. Hi! Thanks for dropping into my profile and even considering me to take care of your precious fur baby ❤️ I currently run my own dog training/dog grooming/dog walking business alongside my wonderful boyfriend who happens to have the same love for this field of work as i do! Ive been doing this full time since march and have fully loved the experience of meeting the different clients! I love getting to know each individual dog and i love to get to know their quirks! I truly cant wait to meet you and your pup/s. For work experience look for the 🍀 emoji! For grooming options look for the 💧 emoji! For daycare details look for the 🐶 emoji! For boarding details look for the 🏠 emoji! For dog walking/drop in visit details look for the 🐕‍🦺 emoji! -You can follow my social medias where I post some of the things we do ! My tiktok is @faiths_k9_academy My Instagram is @faiths_k9_academy The Facebook page for my business is Faiths k9 Academy I offer training and grooming on top of my rover services so feel free to send a random request to talk about training, or some general grooming! I offer different training packages catered to each dog, and i truly do focus on making training fun for both the pet parent and the pups! You both have more fun when you both understand what each wants from one another! 💧 For grooming the prices start as listed, i also offer training for the pups to get more comfortable with grooming. 💧 -Nail trims- $25 -Desheds/brush outs for double coated dogs- $25 per hour -Ear cleanings- $10 -Baths- $30 for small dogs, $40 for big dogs ( over 35 lbs. ) -Full spa days ( include bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, and a deshed )- $85 💧 FULL SERVICE GROOMING/TRIMMING 💧 -Dematt- $25 -Sanitary trims ( paws and privates )- $25 -Full shave downs- $40 -Styled grooms/trims- $50/ hour 💧With all of these different options to pick from, your pup can come back to you looking better than when they left! I was trained in full service grooming and have worked at kennels for many years to perfect the different grooming styles.💧 🍀 For my work experience i have been wanting to do this my whole life! I grew up under the watchful eye of my mom of course as she worked at kennels and vets while i was growing up. She was also a dog trainer at the time so as a kid i was watching agility shows and bugging my mom to learn how to train the dogs like the people on the tv. As soon as i was old enough i started working at kennels while learning to train my own service dog at the time, he later passed due to health issues and i ended up with my current gremlin finnigan. 🍀 🍀 He drove me to learn so much more than any other dog had before. So that’s exactly what i did, i started shadowing trainers, reading any possible book i could about dog behavior. I loved working at the kennels so much during the time i was there but ran into the guilt of the dogs being locked up most of the time and not entirely getting the normal amount of human interaction they get at home so i started doing this on my own! From working at multiple kennels, shadowing trainers, caring for senior animals, caring for polar opposite pups like chihuahuas versus a great dane! I have even worked around horses and livestock/farm animals! In Indiana i leased a horse and was also on the fire department for three years so we had a lot of training focused around the abundance of livestock! So I’ve not only learned to work with all animals but i know how to handle emergencies which comes in handy when I’m caring for your fur family members. Ive worked with all temperaments and breeds so there’s not much i shy away from!🍀 🐶 For daycare days we spend the day playing around in the house, doing some training, and even sometimes go out on hikes with the daycare dogs! We never leave the dogs unattended with each other, this way were able to have toys out, and let them play as they please. All of course under close supervision! Our dogs love to host the house and show the new pups the best spots in the house, and of course the backyard. I do host random little parties for the pups and every day i send an abundance of pictures. We have tons of enrichment toys for the extra energetic puppies, and love to go around to all of the pups!🐶 🏠 For boarding, i am home full time besides the occasional hour errand here and there! I have worked in many boarding facilities and didn't like that environment at all. So i strive to make your pups stay as homey as possible. I’m up around 5-7am and the first thing we do is head outside for the first potty break. Then breakfasts would be done, rest breaks would be given, then we’d start the fun stuff for the day. On a nicer day ill try to spend 2-6 hours outside playing with the pups and letting them run. Normally halfway through the day is the pups nap time to recharge and we do also provide breaks to the pups who need it. Dinner time happens around 7 pm and dogs get put up in their spots for bed at around 10 pm. We do have extra crates here if you dont feel like hauling yours but i do also allow you to bring your dogs cage along with them and any other belongings you feel they may need! Depending on the pup they will either sleep in our room with us, or in a crate ( if they sleep in a crate at home, or if they’re destructive)🏠 🐕‍🦺 For drop in visits, typically i stay at your house for about 30 minutes, during this time i do any tasks you may need, and also play with the pups. We do also take them out to go potty every drop in which will be noted on the rover card! Also you will receive an abundance of pictures every time i see them, its always a nice bonus! For walking its generally the same! We typically just walk around your neighborhood for 30 minutes and then i am on my way for the day! We do also offer 1 hour drop ins/walks!🐕‍🦺 Since i do this full time and am even starting a business doing this to make a living, my whole schedule revolves around dogs. I have favorite spots that i love to take our dogs regularly to just go frolick and be dogs. Yet we also have the outings that are directed specifically towards training. We sometimes go to stores to train, or even just go to a park to do some basic training. Every day we get up around 5-7 am and immediately get going with the boys! When we have the chance we plan day hikes with them or just take them to a local park. Regardless my boyfriend and i do this full time so our whole mission is to pretty much keep them entertained so we can be happy! I truly do love every dog just like they are my own. I was and still am that person that cant resist temptation when it comes to asking to pet dogs we see when were out and about. I like to learn the personal things about the dogs so for the times i do stop in and see them its a blast and they’re content with the time their parents wanted for them. I love to go on hikes with pups and take my boys along with so they get extra play time and proper socialization. I really do strive to be compared to a step parent for my clients dogs!

All I can say is this, Faith was very happy to accommodate and extremely understanding of my situation and I'm very grateful for her watching my pup and giving him nothing but love like if it was her own pup so give Faith an opportunity because she'll not let you down! But I'll definitely be using her again!! Thank you Faith see you next time! 😎🙏

Faith was extremely responsive and very kind to both me and my dogs. She worked great with both a high energy male who loves other dogs and a quiet female who prefers humans. Her place was a little confusing to get to but she gave good instructions so I was still able to find it fine. Thanks for taking care of my pups!

Faith is amazing!! Goose had so much fun with her and her doggie party. He played all day and crashed as soon as he got in the car. Faith took tons of photos and videos and sent them throughout the day. She was also super flexible, I had some travel issues that delayed me picking up goose by 3 hours. Faith was so sweet and made the whole situation stress free so I didn’t have to worry about goose. Thank you again!!

I have a fully fenced backyard with a 2 bedroom home catered to dogs essentially ( especially since were just moving in currently ). The dogs are never left unattended outside to prevent any accidents, and the same applies for inside just so we are for sure no little incidents will happen ( as for sure as we can be, but i will always text/call immediately if anything were to ever happen ). We do have multiple crates so we can separate pups for feeding times, rest breaks, and bed time. We also have a camera in our second room so we can check on the pups that are in the crates for the night even though they’re just across the house. I do send daily updates with tons of pictures of your pup having a blast so you can have an easy mind while you’re away on your trip having a blast! For all feedings all dogs are separated and fed in their own areas. We also provide a 15-30 minute rest break after they eat to prevent any risk of bloat. The rest break length will depend on the breed, smaller dogs would get 15 minute breaks, some medium and all large breed dogs will get a 30 minute break. I do have experience doing insulin for dogs, lots of different medications for all type of animals. I’m also familiar with most supplements so feel free to pack those along!

Information Faith D. would like to know about your pet

I essentially want to know as much as i can about your pup! The more i know the easier it is for me to make your pups stay a dream! The important ones are if your pup has any allergies to anything, or if there are any past medical conditions that i should be aware of. Even if its seasonal allergies or occasional puking when they eat too much grass, id rather have too much information rather than not enough! The less important ones but are still great to know are your pups habits. Like the general schedule they have at home and the little things they love to do. Like what’s their favorite game to play? Do they love howling occasionally? Any of those little things are fantastic information. Last but not least i will ask this in person but i always double check its okay for me to add things to your pups food to get them to eat in the case that they’re a little nervous and dont want to eat. We have bone broth, wet food toppers, cheese, and other things that we can mix into their food to entice them to eat. I want to know as much as possible so the list could go on forever! But just tell me what you feel is important, and if you miss anything im sure ill ask about it :)

Being a dog trainer i try to make any dog in my care is fulfilled as possible mentally and physically by the time they go home. With owner permission, my favorite thing to do is take clients dogs out on hikes with our pups, they get to work on off leash manners safely while attached to a long line but also get to run much more than any human would ever want to run with them! We have a few favorite spots all over washington that we love to run the pups, and during this we make it a big game for them with treats included so when they go home they are extra tired! Of course for the typical walks ill most likely walk in your neighborhood unless you’re interested in a hike instead of a normal walk! If so feel free to just ask about it! Regardless the typical 30 minute walks, if possible i like to take them to a close park and let them sniff around on a long line while walking around a little bit! We also love to take them on runs occasionally just to get that little bit of energy out of their system! For boarding i try to make it as fun as possible whether it’s small training sessions to work their brains, going on hikes with the pups, or maybe even just doing a mental enrichment day. We have a flirt pole and all of the types of toys! We also make sure to make some time for those much needed puppy cuddles!. Essentially we try to do as much as possible with the dogs, whether its training sessions, hikes, little day trips, or even just playing ball for entirely too long because they love it!
