My husband is in the Coast Guard and I am a stay-at-home mom that homeschools my 14 and 9 year old kids. We are home most of the day all week with the exception of some activities for a couple hours here and there. We take walks daily and have a leash in the front yard and a fenced in yard in the back so there is plenty of opportunity for your dog to get outside. Between the four of us, there is always someone available to care for, play with and love on your pup.

We have a leash hooked up in the front yard for when we are outside in the front. We also have a fenced in backyard that usually houses chickens during the day so most potty breaks will be leashed in the front yard or on a walk. The dogs will get time to run around the backyard in the mornings and evenings before/after the chickens are put out. We live in a quiet neighborhood that loops around in a circle with one entrance/exit, which means no extra traffic, it's usually pretty quiet and a great place for dog walking.

A typical day
We are home most of the day so in between school work and chores we go for walks, throw balls in the yard, and have lots of toys to play with the dogs!

Pet care experience
I have been a pet lover my whole life, being raised in a home with two cats and two cocker spaniels, some fish and even gerbils. As an adult, my husband and I have cared for a cat for 15 years and two dogs, a shepherd mix and a lab-mix for a total of 7 years. In the last few years we started working with a local shelter to foster dogs and help them get adopted. This is how we got our 9 year old lab-mix Wade - he was a foster fail! While fostering, we helped dogs that were sick, needed to learn how to be a family dog, and even one dog who was afraid of men. It was a great learning experience to help get them adoptable and see them find their forever families! We have also watched dogs for multiple vacationing friends over the years.
