I worked at DC’s animal shelter for 4 years, most of that time in the behavior department. I also have. CPDT, or Certification for Professional Dog Trainers. I have lots of experience working with special needs dogs and cats using positive reinforcement training. I work with fearful dogs, high energy dogs, dogs with handling sensitivity, and dogs with resource guarding issues. I’ve also worked with fearful cats, high energy cats, and cats who can become aggressive. I’m extraordinarily patient when it comes to animals. My top priority is interacting with them in a way that is a positive experience for them. I don’t scare easy when it comes to animals with behavioral concerns! I have befriended many animals with fear and/or aggression issues.

Everest is a truly skilled person with animals and we are so grateful for their services. Our dog has intense behavioral issues and we were at a loss for who would watch them on our wedding night so we could spend the night away and be able to be fully present and celebrate with everyone. Everest spent over 2 months doing weekly and sometimes even bi-weekly walks with us to acclimate our pup to them, and though progress was slow they were patient and respectful of her pace. We felt confident that our sweet baby would be in excellent hands, even if she was scared or uncomfortable. Can't say enough how grateful we are! Any dog is lucky to have Everest as a caregiver.

Enrichment is extremely important for you pets! I love providing enrichment for pets in the form of positive reinforcement training, puzzle toys, scent games, and long walks in the park. I’ll figure out a way to include extra enrichment for your pet throughout their day, as well as quiet time to give your pet a chance to relax.
