***Updated Info*** Hello there! My pet sitting career on Rover started earlier this year when I lived in Tyler Texas and I took a big break to get married and spend time adjusting to my new surroundings in San Antonio! Here’s a little about me……I’ve grown up with dogs and have been a pet sitter (dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, you name it!) for many of my neighbors over the years. I also have experience with special needs dogs, as my last dog dealt with seizures, and administrating medications is not a problem at all. I know they are very precious companions so they deserve the best care. I’m a biology college graduate who is an animal lover through and through and I work full time as a zookeeper here in Tyler! Due to my current work schedule, my services are somewhat limited; however, I will definitely do my very best to be flexible! I’m trustworthy, extremely attentive, engaging, and a great follower of instructions!

FANTASTIC! I cannot say enough great things about Evelyn. She is organized, very detail oriented and so friendly. She took great care of our fur baby, kept us updated with pictures and videos and went above and beyond to accommodate his high energy play and snuggle needs. Definitely will be using her again and without hesitation recommend her to everyone!

Evelyn was great! My dogs are my babies and I don’t leave them often, so anytime I do, I get nervous. Evelyn took the time to meet me before to ease my mind. She sent lots of pictures and sent detailed messages. Would definitely recommend!
Evelyn was great with our foster! We needed a drop in for him last minute, and she was quick to respond and able to be available for us. She sent a great update and pics, and was even flexible when we ended up canceling the second drop-in when our plans changed. I will definitely be reaching out to her again next time we need a sitter!

I do not offer boarding at this time because I live in an apartment; however, I offer walks, drop-ins and house sitting (this can include fetching the mail, taking out trash, and watering plants!) Whether your pet(s) are free roaming in your home or crated, know that safety and trust are extremely important to me. Whenever I leave a home, I check doors, gates, and locks multiple times (zookeeper force of habit) and I leave everything neat and tidy. Additionally, security cameras in your home are great and welcomed; all I ask is that their placement be communicated to me at the time of booking. Contact me today!

When contacting me, if you don't mind, please take some time to answer the following questions concerning your pet's health and well-being. 1. Does/do your pet(s) have any aggressive tendencies or triggers to certain household objects, areas where they don't like being touched, male/female human preferences, etc? 2. Has your animal ever bitten any of your other sitters, family members, strangers who visit, etc? If so, what were the circumstances surrounding the incident? 3. Is/are your pet(s) on any flea/tick/heartworm prevention? If so, what kind and when was their last vet visit to be updated on shots? My policy is that I will not stay overnight in your home with your pet(s) if he/she is not covered. This is due to me working with zoo animals and I don't want to expose them to harmful pests. It's helped in the past with some of my other Rover clients to know these things up front in order to best serve you and your pet(s). And to see if I'm a good fit for your furry friend(s)! A typical day
I always leave it up to the owners to show me what kinds of fun activities their pet(s) enjoy doing. Whether it's running around the house, throwing a ball in the backyard, going on walks or jogs around the neighborhood, or just lounging around on the couch getting some cuddles in, I'm open to hearing of the ways your pet(s) feels most at home. If you have a puppy who is still learning to be on it's best behavior, I can also go through training routines with him/her.

Availability
As a zookeeper, my animals are my number #1 priority and I can assure you that your babies will be under great care while you are away. I work 7-4pm Thursday - Monday, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays being my weekend. This schedule works best with older dogs (and cats) who can go without a potty break in the afternoon.
