unfortunately, I will not be using Evelyn and Jacobs services again. During our meet and greet, I let both know about my pittie separation anxiety, her destructive habits if left alone & not in a crate, and her ability to escape the yard all due to her anxiety. At the time Evelyn & Jacobs bio did not reflect that they could not care for dogs with severe separation anxiety until the second day of watching my dog. Yet, even after knowing all this prior to booking, Evelyn willingly agreed to watch her. The first day when I dropped her off, my dog escaped the yard twice. After I had emphasized during our meet and greet that she’ll need to be supervised. I luckily was still there in my car messaging care instructions to Evelyn. I get that mistakes happen but what would have happened if I wasn’t there? She would have ran off looking for me and most likely be lost. Secondly, I had to request for at least one update everyday just to see how my dog was doing. These updates lacked any detail on how she was doing afar from “She’s good” and “She’s very comfortable”. Majority of her updates were to tell me that my dog damaged parts of her crate. Which, is very out of character of my dog to do because she is crate trained. The one time she did that, was because a previous house sitter left her in her crate for over 8 hours. Not making accusations, just pointing out how it’s not adding up for me. Overall I was on edge my dogs entire stay and could not fully focus on the trip I am currently on. Due to her anxiety, I hoped for more reassurance in the updates that I didn’t actually get unless I requested it. I ended up feeling more comfortable boarding my dog with another sitter. The only plus in this is that they have a huge yard and a dog that is a gigantic friendly teddy bear. The environment is perfect for dogs. Seeing how well taken care of their dog is, I do believe Evelyn & Jacob are capable of caring for other dogs. However, they are definitely not suited for dogs with special needs such as separation anxiety. I wish you would have updated your bio or told me before accepting Kalea and allowing me to book the stay. You stated you did 3 years of Rover before creating this new account. My assumption is that by now, you should have already known what you could and couldn’t handle with dogs.

Evelyn was amazing through the entire process. From responding quickly to sending pictures and updates during, I could not have asked for a better stay for my dog. She has a big yard and a playful pup that was a perfect match for mine. Will definitely be using her again in the future!
