Pet care experience
I am a life-long animal lover! Growing up, my family had cats, rats, hamsters, and fish, and I have always felt more at home when in the presence of animals. I worked as dog walker/pet sitter for a third party company in California (Fetch Pet Care), as well as volunteered for a local dog shelter (Family Dog Rescue) throughout high school. I have a lot of experience working with dogs of all kinds, as well as pet sitting for cats, lizards, small rodents and fish! I like to be thorough when asking questions about your pets routine and needs to make sure I am providing the level of care and attention they are used to. I know how stressful it can be for both pets and people when separated, and I am happy to send daily updates and photos!

I think trust and respect are very important when caring for pets in the client's home. You're letting what is essentially a stranger into your house to care for furry family members! I tend to treat the situation the way I would like someone to act if they were coming into my home to care for my pet.
Information Eve T. would like to know about your pet
It's definitely important to know about the animals' behavior, temperament and personality ahead of time. I always like to do a preliminary visit to meet in person and get a feel for everyone while you're there. Of course any medical or specific needs (trouble getting up/down stairs, fears, attitude towards other dogs) are very important to know as well!
A typical day
While staying with dogs, I am big into walking! I love exploring new places and if your dog is up for it, I like to take them on long walks (always with water), and see if we can find new spots to keep things interesting.

My schedule is very flexible and for the most part I am able to work to your pets needs. I think keeping them on a generally consistent schedule can help reduce possible stress when you're gone!
