Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Eve, and I am currently working at a mental health hospital in Portland. I moved here recently after receiving both my undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Chicago. I've had dogs almost my entire life and cats for almost a decade, and I worked at the Hyde Park Animal Hospital and Clinic when I was in high school. Growing up with pets has really fostered my love for non-human critters of all sizes and I am ready to give your pets as much love and attention as I can. My schedule is pretty flexible- I am available Tuesdays through Saturdays My time at the vet exposed me to animals of all sizes and with all sorts of needs, and I am comfortable giving medications (oral or injectable). I am pretty active, so I would be happy to go on longer walks and spend time with your dog outside, but I am also happy to chill with your pet in whatever environment they are most comfortable in. I look forward to helping you care for your pet(s)!

Eve is one of the biggest animal lovers I know. She has many cats and a dog that she spoils. I remember when there was a cat at the animal hospital that she once worked that deserved a more loving home than staying locked up in the cage. The cat had been there for months. So Eve adopted the cat, got the cat to a healthy weight, and has been spoiling him every sense!
Eve is absolutely wonderful with animals! In the 3 years that I worked with her at Hyde Park Animal Hospital and Clinic, she rehomed pets and provided excellent care to cats, dogs, and everything in-between. If your pooch or kitty needs a new babysitter you cannot beat Eve's excellent care!
Eve is wonderful with dogs, I have never met a dog that was not naturally drawn to her. She is incredibly responsible and patient, with excellent animal skills. Dogs love her as much as she loves them, and she does everything in her power to make sure that they are happy and healthy.
Eve loves her dog and cats to no end, posting pictures and loving them daily. She cares for them always, waking up early to walk the dog and manage the litter boxes. She will love your animals, too!

I can come to you! My schedule and love of public transportation (I don't drive) make it easy for me to come care for your pet in their home environment, which is also where they feel safest. I am happy to take them outside to get exercise, or keep them company indoors.

I would like to know if your pet is up to date on their vaccines, if there are any habits I should look out for (like chewing on shoes or scratching furniture, and how your dog behave outside, if I am walking your dog)
A typical day
I love spending time with animals, regardless of what we're doing. I keep active, so I can (hopefully) tire your dog out for you by going for long walks, or playing with them. I grew up playing baseball, and have a good arm for long sessions of fetch. I am also an expert with laser pointers and can engage your cat in play, if that's what they need.

Availability
I work 3 days a week and am available the rest of the time to care for your pet! Due to having cats of my own, I can not spend the night with your pets, but am happy to do drop in visits, or take them on walks
