Longtime Dog Mom & Animal Lover
Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Eve, a lifelong animal lover with over a decade of hands-on dog care experience, including fostering, volunteering, boarding, and raising my own sweet girl (an American Staffordshire Terrier) who recently passed at 11 years old. She was my best friend and my whole heart, and I understand how important your babies are to you. I promise that as soon as they step their paw into my door, they will be loved and spoiled just like they’re my own, whether that’s just for a a few hours or for a few weeks. Don’t worry though, I will give them back…really, promise.
Reviews

Eve took the initiative to add some training and grooming into my dog's stay, with great success. Her house is light and clean and she has a great yard for running around. Highly recommend.

Eve gave my boy, Bear such a good day! She was communicative and so sweet with him, there’s no doubt she loves & cares for dogs. When I got him home, he instantly settled in, tired from a walks and a fun day of play. Would definitely recommend Eve and would happily book again with her in the future!

Eve was amazing with Henry! I always get a little nervous leaving him with someone new, but Eve was incredibly responsive, caring, and attentive. She clearly took great care of him, and he seemed happy and well looked after when I picked him up. I truly appreciated the peace of mind and will definitely book with her again!

Eve took great care of our pup! He got some exercise, lots of cuddles and an extra yummy dinner. We were so fortunate to connect with her and couldn’t have found a better care giver for our dog. Thank you, Eve!

Happy, respectful pups get the full VIP experience. If your dog is calm, house-trained, and well-mannered, they’re welcome to enjoy full access to the home, relax in the fenced backyard, and join me on long daily walks or hikes to a nearby off-leash dog park. For dogs who are still learning or need a little extra guidance, whether it’s potty training, leash pulling, barking, jumping on furniture, or reactivity, I adjust their environment to set them up for success. That might mean using a cozy indoor playpen, taking shorter leashed walks instead of park trips, or using a crate/playpen when unsupervised, based on your preferences and your dog’s needs. I’m always happy to support training goals during their stay, from reinforcing basic manners to helping with leash skills or keeping four paws on the floor. Above all, I aim to create a peaceful, positive space where each pup feels safe, secure, and loved. ⸻ Your Pup’s Home Away From Home I do this because I genuinely love dogs and truly enjoy their company. I treat every pup like my own, and we spend a lot of time together, whether that’s lounging at home, exploring the neighborhood, or heading out on a hike. I only host one or two dogs at a time, and I’m very intentional about making sure each pup feels safe, relaxed, and happy. If I do accept a second dog, it’s because I believe they’ll be a great playmate and companion for the first pup I’ve already booked, never just to fill space, and usually just for a daycare visit. Home Amenities and Supplies Include: • Fully fenced, dog-safe yard with grass, shade, an outdoor dog bed, and room to run or relax • AirTags and AirTag collars and keychains for peace of mind for Houdinis (never before needed as our backyard is very secure, but better safe than sorry!) • A clean, climate-controlled home with plush beds, cozy blankets, and an extra-large cloth playpen for puppies needing unsupervised rest • Three baskets of toys in the living room, bedroom, and backyard - for enrichment and fun • A grooming brush and deshedding mitts - I’m happy to do light brushing if your pup enjoys it (with treats!) • No resident dogs — just a 3 oz cockatiel (always separated) and backyard chickens kept in their coop • Overnight guests sleep in their own plush bed or cozy crate next to mine depending on preference and needs

Information Eve M. would like to know about your pet
• Are they house-trained? Do they mark or have frequent accidents? • Any food allergies or sensitivities? Can I offer treats (like chicken breast)? • Do they get anxious or bark a lot when left alone? What helps them feel calm? • Are they destructive with household items or furniture? • How do they do with other dogs? • Are they crate-trained? Do they settle calmly when crated? • Any quirks, special needs, or routines I should know about? • How much daily exercise do they need? • How do they behave on-leash and off-leash? Will they come when called? ⸻ House Rules & Expectations These guidelines help ensure a smooth, safe, and positive experience for everyone, dogs and humans alike: • No indoor marking: Dogs who mark will need to stay outside (weather permitting), wear diapers, or be crated when unsupervised. If not crate-trained or OK being outside alone, this may not be the best fit. • No destructive behavior: Puppies require supervision and redirection, but adult dogs should know what’s off-limits. We provide plenty of toys to prevent boredom. • No excessive barking or door-scratching: Calm pups are welcome to enjoy the yard, but if they are too loud (we want to be respectful neighbors) or start to damage the door, we will need to move them inside to a crate or playpen when unsupervised. • Furniture: I typically don’t allow dogs on the furniture, with some exceptions (small, clean pups may possibly be allowed on the couch with a blanket or will cuddle on my lap.) • Aggression: I cannot accept dogs with a history of aggression toward people. Dogs with dog reactivity may be considered on a case-by-case basis, but please let me know in advance so I don’t book another dog at the same time (note I have a soft spot for bully breeds, and completely understand their idiosyncrasies) • Grooming - please make sure your pup is free of fleas and reasonably clean for optimal indoor privileges and cuddles. If they are boarding, I may give them a light bath or brushing (with lots of treats!) to keep things fresh and sanitary. • Late Pick-Ups - Daycare pickups past 8pm may incur a $20 late night fee, and pickups past 10pm may be charged the boarding rate unless otherwise discussed. ⸻ Don’t worry. I don’t expect your pup to be perfect. Dogs will be dogs, and they will do doggy things. All of this is just to set clear expectations on both sides for full transparency. At the end of the day, I will just be treating them exactly the same as I would any dog of my own and will adjust their care as needed and with love.
A typical day
In the morning, I usually take the dogs for a walk around the neighborhood. In the early evening, I’ll often head out for a longer walk or hike to a nearby off-leash dog park if that’s a good fit. For dogs that aren’t quite comfortable in that environment, we’ll stick to shorter leash walks and spend more time in the backyard. There are plenty of toys to keep them entertained. I’m happy to play fetch, work on tricks they already know, teach leash manners, or even teach them a new trick (like “bang bang” or how to ring the potty bell to go outside). During the day, most dogs hang out with me while I work or work out from home. They’re rarely alone and are treated like part of the family. If your dog is well-behaved in public and enjoys car rides, they may also join me on low-key outings, like brunch at a dog-friendly café or a movie night at a friend’s house. I love including them in my day whenever it’s a good match for their temperament and training.

Availability
I work part-time and mostly from home, which means your dog will get lots of attention, companionship, and love throughout the day. I walk or hike about 5 miles daily and often head to a nearby off-leash dog park before sunset. If your pup enjoys being social and has solid recall, I’d be happy to bring them along. If they prefer quieter walks, I’ll tailor our outings to fit their comfort level. I’m comfortable with dogs of all breeds and personalities and always try to meet each one where they are, whether that means reinforcing basic manners, offering gentle structure, or simply providing a cozy, low-stress stay. I’m usually available most days (except Saturdays before 4 PM), and I always strive to create a safe, peaceful, and fun home environment for my guests.
