Pet care experience
I really just love doggos and would like to play with yours. I have helped raised my own family dogs for about 15 years, and have been pet sitting semi-regularly for friends and colleagues for the past 5 years. I have experience with dogs that have special needs, chronic illness, require medication, and special care. I am comfortable with all animals (and happy to feed any other critters at home while you are away) and dogs of all sizes, with particular experience with tiny dogs and dogs up to about 100lbs. I also volunteer at a local doggy daycare/training centre and have experience with positive reinforcement training techniques to provide your dog with mental stimulation during visits and walks. I am willing to accommodate whatever schedule your dog is used to as I feel that it is important to maintain consistency to minimize stress when their humans are away. I have also been given training by the aforementioned trainer/doggy daycare in reading dog body language. I also occasionally foster dogs.

No breed preferences. Knowing the routine of the dog(s) and any other animals in the house is always helpful where applicable. Any allergies, recent medical concerns, behavioural issues that you're working on correcting (e.g. if they jump up when you don't want them to, etc.), any restrictions in the household (e.g. if they're not allowed on furniture or in to certain rooms).
A typical day
I generally keep walks local and in familiar places for the dog. If there is a dog park or a walking group that you participate in with your dog, I am also happy to join them. I enjoy trying to teach dogs new tricks if they are up for the challenge and food motivated.
