I've always loved animals and grew up surrounded by all kinds- including cats, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, and livestock. I currently have two cats of my own, a small dog, a leopard gecko, and a few chickens and ducks! I work for the local animal shelter, assisting with routine medical tasks and care of the cats and dogs on site. I have previously worked as a veterinary assistant as well. Through my current work at the shelter and previous work in the veterinary field, I've had plenty of experience giving cats and dogs oral and injectable medicines on strict schedules, monitoring cats and dogs recently out of surgeries, and helping acclimate animals to people. I love working with shy dogs and cats, helping them learn to trust and love people. I have also spent a lot of my free time fostering kittens and puppies of all shapes and sizes. I’ve pet-sat for clients, family, and friends frequently. I not only have experience with cats and dogs, but birds and reptiles too! I’ve volunteered at the local wildlife rehabilitation center and housesat for a small bird rescuer, where I had to frequently give medications to various birds and reptiles. I’m happy to help out with any exotic animals you might have and ensure they’re cared for lovingly while you’re away! I'm very flexible with hours throughout the weekdays and weekends, so I am able to do drop-ins or house-sit when needed. I look forward to meeting your critters!
