For the past 11 years, I have been caring for my family dog Shuki and intermittently been caring for my grandma's dogs Oreo and Daisy. I also have volunteered at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah for a week. I've spent hundreds of hours walking, playing, and cuddling dogs. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with dogs and giving them all the loving care that they need because making them happy puts a smile on my face. Through this I have really learned how to recognize the different moods dogs can be in and how to react appropriately. I interact with every dog as if they are my best friend and put 100% of my focus into the dog while taking care of them. My favorite pastime is playing with dogs; in particular, I love playing fetch with them. Also, I live an active lifestyle and like to bring this to the table with the dogs. In addition, I know how to make a dog sit or lie down if they have already been trained to do so. Yet, I have some experience with clicker training as I helped my mom teach our dog how to sit and lie down. I am pretty much available at all times at the moment since school is online.
