Greetings fellow dog and cat lovers! My name is Evan, I'm a semi-retired tech entrepreneur, and the owner of a darling 10-year-old, female Pit Bull-Border Collie mix named Scout. I'm originally from a small town in Indiana, but have lived here in San Diego for the past 19 years. I spent six years in the Navy, first as a search & rescue swimmer, and later as a minehunting dolphin handler, so I can deal with almost any situation, regardless of stress level. I'm kinda new to Rover, but have been helping friends out with their pets for years. I am responsible and caring, and I love meeting new people and their pets. I look forward to sitting/walking/caring for some amazing owners and their equally amazing pets!

Evan is my first choice for a dog sitter when I have to leave my baby. He is great with all animals and sometimes I think my dog likes him even better than me! Evan is very active with the dogs and gives them plenty of attention. He is very responsible and will respect whatever instructions you give him. There are very few people I trust with my furry man child, but Evan is definitely one of them.

A typical day
Every dog is different, so I tailor what I do to their individual personality and energy level, as well as to whatever routine they're already used to. I'm very sensitive to smaller dogs since they tend to experience more stress when their owners are away than larger breeds. In the end, I don't have a set program that I follow because it's truly up to each owner and their preferences.

Currently, I'm not working a full-time, corporate job, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I do take on private, automotive-related jobs, but they are usually only a few hours at a time, leaving me very open to caring for pets.
