Pet care experience
I got my first dog, a wheaten terrier named Georgie, in the eighth grade. Of course, I'd always loved dogs, but I did not truly identify their well-being as my passion until the time came for her to be neutered. It was then that I picked up volunteer job with our local veterinarian's office, to ensure I could be by her side every step of the operation. After that, I decided to stay on, and for the rest of the year I worked alongside sick and injured animals, as well as those just coming in for a check-up. Since then, I have worked numerous volunteer jobs with animals (not exclusive to dogs), and have dedicated my education/life to becoming a veterinarian. It's incredible how rewarding it feels to help a patient with no voice re-attain its happiness and health, and also how a simple nature walk (in the woods or the urban jungle) can have such a positive impact on a dog's welfare. My dog is back home, and this college dormitory life is awfully lonesome without her, so help me help you, and fill my mornings/noon's/nights with puppy love, broaden my understanding of animal behavior, and give me my daily dose of why it is I want to be a vet, all while I care for your numero uno as a true professional (and friend) would.
Reviews
Evan was prompt, gentle and loving with our two fur boys, providing us with the peace of mind to enjoy a day away from home. Convenient web-based mobile platform provides an informative “Uber” on-demand experience for pet owners.
Evan was great with our energetic dog! He responded quickly and was very polite and professional. Our dog loved him, and we'd be happy to hire him again.
Great job, and was thankfully available on short notice.
Milo always looks forward to stays/walks with Evan. He's truly great with dogs!

Information Evan H. would like to know about your pet
Most importantly, I'd like to know if your dog plays well with others. Although I'm well able to identify when things between two dogs may escalate, its always best to know how they get along with other dogs, just so I can plan our outings accordingly. For example, if your dog tends to get into skirmishes, off-leash at the dog park may not be the best route and, alternatively, we can go for a nature walk. Additionally, if your dog is athletic or you think it would benefit them to go for a run. I've found that my dog loves to go for runs, to get some of that terrier-inherent energy out before, during, or after the day has begun. I've been training for a marathon for some time, so distance isn't a problem for me. All I ask (should you want me to start running or regularly training with your dog) is that you give me a heads up, as if I'm not given fair warning, I may have already gone for my run the day of.
A typical day
Relatively new to the Davis area, as I just relocated from Boston, I’ve found several routes along which I run that I think any dog would enjoy walking/running on. I also know of a few dog parks that we could go to, and am happy to take suggestions as to where your dog and I should go on our outing.
