New tricks, long walks, photo shoots, playtime, and home-made treats are my specialty. Big dogs and group walks don’t frighten me! Hi there! I’ve been in love with animals (especially dogs) from a very young age. Growing up I wanted nothing more than to be a dog trainer. As a kid I worked tirelessly with the family’s “untrainable” giant Great Pyrenees. I taught my old best friend (Max) nearly 50 new tricks. Dogs aren’t the only pets I’ve had and trained. Guinea pigs, rabbits, parakeets, turkeys, fish, alpacas, rats, mice, cats, sheep, pigs, and just about every other pet you can imagine has been subject to my adoration and home-made handouts. However, I’ve stepped up my game since going to college. I am now an aspiring doctor of Ethology (animal cognition and behavior). I want to know what’s going on in their heads! What is consciousness like for your pet? What do thoughts look like for them? What mental scars might they have that cause certain reactions? These are just some of the questions that I hope to answer through my current and future research. I’m always looking for ways to release my pent-up animal behavioral knowledge on some unsuspecting pup! I want to learn all I can from your furry friend(s) by listening to their needs and finding ways to use positive reinforcement to produce behaviors that are beneficial to you and fun for your pet. Working with and training your dog won’t cost you anything more, it’s just something I enjoy. Your pet and I will have a blast attempting to read each other’s mind!
