I'm a "mommy" of a Malshi (Maltese/Shih Tzu mix). Whenever I'm away from the house for even a couple of hours, I feel guilty leaving my baby girl home alone. How in the world would I ever be able to go away for a few days without her? I came on this site to find a place where I could leave my pup for a few days without putting her in a kennel and making sure she had the attention I would give her. I found someone GREAT on here and I LOVE this site. I decided that I would become a sitter to help others out who feel the same way, make a little extra cash, and give my pup a companion to play with every once in a while. It's a win/win/win! As a teacher, I have a lot of time off. I have a spacious house with tile floors in all rooms except the bedrooms. I also have a great fenced-in back yard with lots of toys for the pups. For your convenience, if you would like me to take your dog to my professional groomer while you are away, I'm happy to do so. The fee for that is $40. That fee includes the cost of the GROOMING plus a tip for my groomer. The grooming includes a bath, brush, blow-dry, nails, ears, teeth, and cologne. IT DOES NOT INCLUDE A HAIR CUT. Why I love dog sitting I have had and been around dogs my entire life. Everyone in my family is a dog lover. I've personally had 2 Shih Tzus, a Malshi, and a Bullmastiff. I have spent a lot of time around my extended family's dogs and have dog-sat several times (Boston Terriers, Poodles, Rottweilers, Schnauzers ---just to name a few off the top of my head). I have also done extended dog-sitting for a friend several times. She has 3 Rottweilers. About my yard I have a great back yard. It's pretty big. It has a pool, but the pool is separated with a fence, so the pooches can't get to that half of the yard, leaving them plenty of exercise space on the other side. The entire back yard is fenced in and I keep a basket full of dog toys/balls out there. My pup is in all her glory when she's out there. She LOVES it. My experience administering medication Yes, with the exception of shots.

I am so pleased with my Rover pet sitter Esta! Braxton, my Yorkie puppy is only 9 months old. Esta and Lanie made his first sleep over a enjoyable experience for both of us.
This was my first time using Rover. I was skeptical at first, but after meeting Esta and Lanie I knew I found a perfect match! Lexi didn't 2 weeks with Esta and I received daily pictures and videos. I was able to see how much fun Lexi was having.. She was a jests smiling, even when she was pooped out from playing so much. I would not hesitate to leave Lexi with Esta again, and I highly recommend her, You will not be sorry
My doggies love coming to Etsa's home! She welcome them with open arms whenever I come to drop them off. The backyard is spacious and a great place for the dogs to run around and play!

It would be helpful to know the dog's routine, if they're house-broken, their bad habits, and dietary needs/restrictions. I also need to know if they get along with other dogs, as I have an 8-pound Malshi.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks I walk my dog 3-4 times a day around my neighborhood. I live in a dog-friendly neighborhood. Almost all my neighbors have dogs. I walk my dog when she decides to wake me up (she's the boss). It's usually around 7:30. I then either let her out in the backyard or take her on another walk around noon. I walk her again around 4:30 and then one last time before bed..around 10:00 or 11:00. I also let my dog out into the backyard one more time between 5:00 and 10:00...simply because she'd be upset with me if I didn't. Your dog's sleeping arrangement The dog will sleep inside. I have tiled floors, but I have dog beds and the owner is welcome to provide his or her pet's regular bed as well. Time I'll spend with your dog I will be spending a lot of time with your dog. When I'm pup-sitting, I don't make a lot of plans. Also, I am a teacher. I get a lot of vacation time, including summers off, and during those times and the weekends, I am home most of all days and every night. I send multiple pictures a day of your pet having fun in the backyard or lounging around relaxing in the house to ensure you have peace of mind.
