Happy Tails Vacation! That Dog Aunt

Pet care experience

Hello! ______ ( l ^ ^ l ) ( ( Y ) ) (")___(")__/) * My move has been postponed until further notice. So, if you see my profile on Rover. It is currently active if you are needing help for the holidays. Thank you! Probably the longest profile you will ever read! But, please take a couple of minutes to read to make sure I will be a good fit for you before sending a request to save some time. Thank you! **Tips: If you want to leave a tip and the website cuts off you are welcome to leave me a tip on my Vemno. @Alwaysrita (Rita Lopez). Your reviews are always appreciated! Thank you!** ***Fellow Rover sitters! I am receiving a lot of double and triple bookings for dates that I am already booked for. So, if you would like me to recommend you please message me. Please be reliable and responsible. Thank you!!! Sitters I can refer that I have met with: * I have met with all of the sitters I am referring and they are all wonderful and will do an amazing job taking care of your fur babies if I am unavailable! Litsa W: Link: https://www.rover.com/sit/litsaw95083 Andreanna R: Link: https://www.rover.com/sit/andrer26222 Sarah P: Link: https://r.rover.com/7SQv7x I can host multiple dogs for boarding and daycare as long as they are dog friendly. (I cannot double book for house sits, I stay at one house at a time during the days that I am booked. I am still available for Drop by visits and walks with blocked house sit dates. Thank you!) Cancellation Policy: If you book a stay with me. You will have 3-days before the start of the stay to cancel to get a full refund. If you cancel after the 3-days, you will be refunded 50% of the stay. The the 3-day policy in place, because I value your time and mine as well. I understand when unforeseen things happen. When I commit to booking with you, I decline all other bookings if the other booking dates conflict with your booking date to ensure that your animals will receive the best care. If you cancel after, I will not be able to recover from the other bookings in a short time span. This is first on my bio so you completely understand what the cancellation process is, so you can prepare for it ahead of time. Thank you in advance for understanding. No Haggle Policy: Rover is something I take pride in to ensuring that every stay I provide is with the best services I provide. I have sat with Rover for over 7 years now and I have over 20+ years in experience with working with animals. I do not price haggle under any circumstances. Please do not ask me to lower my pricing. Rover also takes 20% off every stay completed by any sitter on this app, so please keep that in mind. If I am not the sitter for you due to pricing, there are plenty of wonderful sitters on this app as well with amazing profiles. Thank you! First book, first serve: When booking for my services, I implement a first come, first serve service. More like first book, first serve. If a booking request is sent to me but not paid for in full, the booking is still pending. Meaning the dates requested will still be open for another client to book. If I receive a booking and it is completely booked and paid for then those dates will be blocked off my calendar to ensure that another client can't book during those dates. Holiday pricing: There has been a lot of confusion on holiday pricing, so hopefully this will clear it up. When going on any sitter's profile on Rover. If you click additional prices at the bottom you will see holiday pricing. I am not a 100% certain on how Rover likes to schedule holidays but the pattern seems to be if the Holiday (day) is within the week that you schedule, you will be given a quote for holiday pricing. Please keep in mind, we sitter's like to take holidays as well to see loved ones and holiday pricing is there for the convenience of you to enjoy your holiday stress free while we sit back. Also, keep in mind that Rover does take 20% of each stay from every sitter. Please, double check with holiday pricing to be sure that it will be in your budget before sending a request. Boarding cats or high-anxiety dogs: Because I tend to board dogs more at this time I do not have space to board cats at this time. Also, if it is something you are open to considering. I recommend the house sitting for cats and any dogs that have high anxiety. The reason I recommend that service instead of boarding is because, cats take longer to acclimate to an environment overall. A lot of times if you take a cat to a new setting the chance may be likely that they will hide or start marking if they feel stressed. I want to make sure that your fur babies are receiving the best care and to make your and their stay as stress free as possible. With high anxiety dogs. I suggest house sitting if your dog does not do well in new settings or being around other dogs. New settings can tend to make your pup sick especially if they are not on a consistent diet or with their stomach being sensitive. Being around other dogs, may cause too much stress for your pup and potentially an unsafe environment for the other dogs if your dog attacks out of being stressed. Please make sure you as a dog owner are taking the extra precautions to ensuring what stay will fit your dog best. If your dog or cat is self-sufficient, drop-by-visits are what some pet parents book as well. You can book multiple 30 minute or 1 hour visits per day. Services: Boarding: - Flexible with drop off and pick up times with boarding. (Please, let me know ahead time what drop off and pick up times will look like. So, I can arrange my schedule accordingly.) - A walk in the morning. (With the heat being so extreme the last couple of months. The length of the walk will vary. My usual schedule is taking the pups hiking on the tramway trails in the morning. The trail I like to take them on is about 2 miles/30 - 40 minutes long. If it is an extremely hot day I will take them on a shorter trail or to the park, so the pups do not get overheated. If you want to request a special care walk or no walk, you are welcome to! I am flexible with what accommodations best suit your fur babies.) - Implementing their feeding schedules, supplements, medicine at appropriate times when suggested. - Plenty of treat and play time. - Zoomies/play time before bed. - Plenty of potty breaks throughout the day. - Any sleeping arrangements you want to provide (Ex: crate or bed) you are welcome to bring. Along with anything else to make their stay comfortable while they are with me. House Sitting: Will be the same as boarding services. The only thing that will vary will be pricing. If you want to request a different house stay service. You are welcome to request that at anytime when sending me a request. You will just have to communicate that with me and I will modify the pricing as needed. That way pricing is accurate before you book with me. Breakdowns below: Standard house sitting: - 16 hours in home with fur babies. - Unlimited walks. (I typically do one long walk or two shorter walks in a day but if you would like to request more. Please, let me know and I will accommodate that.) - Implementing their feeding schedules, supplements, medicine at appropriate times when suggested. - Play time & treat time. - Flexible arrival and leaving time. - Maintaining your home in a respectful manner while away. Deluxe House Sitting: - Add on charge of $50 per night to standard price already quoted. - 20 hours a day spent at your home. - Including accommodating same standard house-sitting services. (See above.) Premium House Sitting: - Add on charge of $100 per night to standard price already quoted. - 24 hour care. (Meaning, I will not leave your pups side for the duration of the sit.) - Including accommodating same standard house-sitting services. (See above) Add on services: -Such as watering plants or feeding other pets that are not in the Rover database. I don't tack on an add-on charge. You are welcome to tip if you decide that you would like to. Either on Rover or on my Venmo. Drop-by-visits: - Rover card will not start until I arrive at your home. - Includes walk with you request it. - Booking either a 30-minute session or a 1-hour session. Depending on what accommodates your fur baby the best. - Feeding at the appropriate schedule provided. - Play time & treat time - Locking up home in a secure manner when leaving. - If you want to request longer than an hour visit. You will just have to communicate that with me and pricing will be adjusted. Price increase will be $10 per any 30 minutes added on. Daycare: - Flexible with drop off an pick up times. (Please communicate times ahead of times, so I can arrange my schedule.) - One walk or hike in the morning time. - Feeding at the appropriate schedule provided. - Play time and treat time throughout the day - Rover cards will start when your pup(s) are dropped off and ended when they are picked up. Dog-walking: - Rover card will start when I arrive at home and walking equipment on your pup(s) have been attached. - Can take them to the hiking trails, if that is requested. Please keep in mind to request accurate walking time. Including pick up and dropping back off. - Otherwise will take the pup(s) on the walking route provided. - Treat time and water time after. - Secure lock up when leaving. Booking outside of Rover: I do not book outside of Rover. Please keep in mind if you ask a sitter on Rover to book outside of Rover on the Rover platform that can put their profile at jeopardy of being suspended and/or account being closed down. Especially, if it is a new sitter and they are unfamiliar with how Rover works. Booking through Rover not only insures your fur baby if anything is the sitter's fault. But say if you booked a house sit and a sitter damaged something in your home. Rover has upped their insurance claim up to $25,000 for owners. If you go to the help section and type in (Rover Guarantee). A article will pop up and you can select Rover Guarantee at the bottom of the article to read more about it or to file a claim. Intro: Hi guys, my name is Esperita. But everyone calls me Rita. First off I just want to say thank you for considering me to watch your fur baby and two I'm so excited to watch your fur baby while you're away! I am available full time to sit! A little about me, current location & Covid Status: I am temporarily in New Mexico before I make my next move. I am available to help with your fur babies for the time being. Also, I just want to be transparent and open that I am not vaccinated. Covid has been devastating worldwide and I completely understand that. It is a personal choice for me not to be vaccinated at this time. So I will understand completely if that changes the dynamics of me watching your pets and if you decide to go with another sitter at this time. How I started Rover: I started Rover in San Diego about 7 years ago. Before that, I lived in New Mexico. While I was in New Mexico I took care of countless animals. Both dogs and cats. When I use to volunteer my time with rescue groups. I would help feed, groom, give TLC, walk, clean, etc for the dogs and the cats. When I worked at the humane society I would do all the above, plus help give meds, shots, microchips when needed. I started Rover because, I have always loved working with animals and this platform helps continue that passion. My fur babies & their personalities: I have a cat and a dog. Tucker is the most laid back cat you will ever meet. You can literally carry him like a baby. He is great for introducing dogs that have never met cats before. **Please be mindful though, if your dog does not like cats. Please please please let me know that when you message me.* Yoshi is my only dog. Yoshi is a Shiba Inu who loves loves loves to play! I got Yoshi about 6 years ago. My pets are fully vaccinated and gets flee medication once a month. He is neutered. Yoshi, is a Shiba and if you know anything about Shiba's they can have temperamental personalities. Yoshi gets along with other dogs but on his time. He does not like over dominate/ over aggressive dogs. If your dog displays that, please be mindful, honest and upfront about the dynamics. Your animals are top priority when it comes to safety as well as my animals. Why I would love taking care of your fur baby? Taking care of animals has always been my passion. When I moved to San Diego I did apply at the Helen Woodward (San Diego) animal center and I ended up getting the job but it was too far away for the commute so I couldn't take the job. Rover allows me to be able to give TLC to your baby while your away. I have befriended countless clients and their babies. Not to sound cheesy but they become family. I absolutely love what I do! I would treat your fur baby as if they were my own. I also want to take the time to get to know your dog or cat while your away. I know each animal has their own personality and I want to make them as comfortable as possible. Limit on sitting (Mostly for Dog Boarding, House sitting will vary): I can watch up to 4 dogs and sometimes I will make an exception to watch one or two more. But they must get along with other dogs. If for any reason they don't I do have a couple of pet gates up in different areas just in case I need to separate them. When your fur baby stays with me they will be going on a morning hike about 2 miles by Bear Canyon with Yoshi. I also like to take your baby to the pet store to get them toys and or treats that they can take with them after they leave. They are allowed on the furniture, unless you say otherwise. They will be sleeping in my bedroom at night whether they're more comfortable using a crate or if they are more comfortable laying in our bed. My schedule fluctuates, I will accommodate as best as I can. if something does not work for you when we have our meet and greet. Feel free to let me know. I want to make sure that you, your family and your fur baby are comfortable and accommodated while using my services. I want to make it as stress free as possible for everyone. If you have any questions about me, prices or my services please don't hesitate to message me. I want to get all your questions answered. I look forward to meeting you in the next meet and greet. Owners (My criteria for watching your pet): If we have a meet and greet and you are not comfortable and/or unsure about booking me please let me know ahead of time. I want to make sure your fur babies receive the absolute best care! Please also keep in mind, Rover does a full background check on all sitters but limits owners to doing the same. Safety is also my number one priority for myself as well. If you do not have a profile picture attached, I will automatically decline any request that has been sent my way. Having a profile picture verify's that your profile is legit and helps create that trust before doing a meet and greet. Also, please add/ create a profile for all pets that are associated with booking. That way prices and Rover insurance is accurate during stay. *********************************************** Services I am providing at the time: Dog Boarding Doggy Day Care House Sitting Drop by Visit Dog Walking If you have any questions at all please ask me. Again I want to make sure that you and your fur baby are accommodated while using my services. Thank you. :) Added notes: If you are considering booking me way far in advance. Three months or more prior to the booking I will be having a 2nd meet and greet. Once in the beginning and once closer to the actual booking date. Just to make sure your fur baby is going to be a 100% comfortable with me while you are away. I can watch both unfix females and males. My requirements for females. If she is in heat, you must must bring diapers for her. Requirements for males. They must be friendly towards other dogs no exceptions. If for any reason they have showed signs of aggression please be honest with me. Thank you! My Schedule: My schedule fluctuates, I will accommodate as best as I can. If you are not comfortable with me watching your babies due to my schedule. Please let me know, I will not be offended in the least. I want to make sure your fur babies are receiving the care they need and deserve while you're away. Also, if I know/meet any local sitters in the area I will be sure to pass their information along. Additional information with schedule: I am available full time with Rover. Which means I can be flexible when it comes to dropping off and pick up. However, I am extremely busy with Rover and other personal projects that I am currently overseeing. I ask that you please be respectful of my schedule as I am respectful with your time and schedule because I know how important it is to be on time with traveling. What do I mean by this? Please select the correct times on Rover when submitting a request to me. If you do not have the correct times. You can always send me a request and then modify the times later before confirming the booking. That way I am able to navigate other appointments I will have in the future. Drop off/ Pick up: I am very big on communication. Please send me a message 30 minutes prior to dropping off or picking up. That way I can get your fur babies ready on time/ or be prepared for their arrival. I appreciate your understanding! Thank you! Sitters I refer when not available: * I have met with all of them and they are all wonderful sitters! Listsa W: Link: https://www.rover.com/sit/litsaw95083 Andreanna R: Link: https://www.rover.com/sit/andrer26222 Sarah P: Link: https://r.rover.com/7SQv7x I like to take my dog for walks and hikes. When I care for your dog I will be sure to give them plenty of exercise unless its otherwise instructed.

A typical day

When your pup or pups stay with me, I will be taking them on an awesome walk (Depending on weather). One long hike in the morning by Bear Canyon about 2 miles. There is also a shorter hike on Tramway that is about 1 mile long if you prefer that. Sometimes more if they can handle it! If they need more walks for potty breaks feel free to let me know. They will be fed on their own personal food schedule. However you feed them is how I'll continue to feed them. They will have lots of toys and treats to make their stay more comfortable. If you want to bring any treats or toys for them, please feel free to. Also just in case their food runs out I would like to know their food brand just in case. An in case of any emergency that I need to take them to the vet for any reason at all. I'll need that information too. Sleeping arrangements depends on you parents. If your pup is more comfortable sleeping on the bed, they can definitely sleep on the bed. If you'd rather them on the floor or in a kennel we can arrange that too. I'll just be giving them as much as my attention as they need during their stay with me. :)
